Yeah, would hate to miss out on going to a BCS bowl because of this loss...
You realize this is basketball, right? The loss will be discussed no matter what.

spike and irvin were reading their press clippings a bit too much this week.

For a long time now in football, all I've asked for is efficiency - at least beat the fucking overmatched teams. That's really Square One. Cannot believe it has spread to basketball.

Other than Levert nobody showed up. Irvin had an off night but there is no excuse to allow them to shoot nearly 60%.

Wow, just got the notification of the score. Thank god I missed this one.
Hopefully this just proves to be our "Charlotte" game, we rebound from it, learn our mistakes, and move on. That was a pretty bad loss last year, and the season turned out alright. I'm confident it still will.

i wonder if a chalkboard is being broken in the locker room right now.

this may be the most embarrassing loss in UM basketball history. it's a school i never even heard of until this year; i'm guessing at least 90% of the country never heard of it either.
doesn't mean much for the season though.

and irvin could have driven the lane more with his smaller defender; especially since his outside shot was complete shit today.

The worst losses in Football AND basketball? WHY???
I just logged on to find out what NJIT stands for, I was thinking New Jersey Interstate Transportation authority but I know what it is now.

No worries, this won't matter in March. The team had been playing with fire and finally got burned.

Michigan lost to Alaska Anchorage in 1988 and won the the NCAA title. Shit like this happens.

I'm more disappointed in some of the vitriol spewed in this thread than I am in the result of the game.

At least this bad L will go (somewhat) under the radar, given that we're still in college football season, and on championship Saturday. Eh? Certainly won't go unnoticed by your MSU or OSU pals, of course.
Learn, and move on. No, this is nothing CLOSE to App. State, so please...stop making that comparison.

Two numbers: the obvious one is NJIT's 58.7% shooting but the other big one is Michigan only had 8 assists. No defensive effort or ball movement and that will happen.
