Wait, Indiana has another QB on the roster? I thought this kid was it.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:30 PM ^
I know right? It's like they have a 3D QB printer behind the gatorade jug

Indiana is allowed to sub in members of their basketball team in as QB- state law

Then you must mean the loser.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:43 PM ^
And imagine if a big ten team stole an elite coach from the SEC. It would go a long way in shifting some of the power back north.

I mean if those two aren't elite who is?

At the risk of sounding like I'm fellating MSU, Dantonio coming over to Coleman and having a conversation / congratulating him was pretty cool to see.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:33 PM ^
fellating?
October 18th, 2014 at 6:35 PM ^
OK - I just looked that up on Google- thats gross! Never use that again.

I'm inclined to say so as well, but even the 24-0 juggernaut OSU was Hoke's teams played close (loss by 5 in Columbus and loss by 1 last year). I don't think it will be that out of hand.

The Little Brown Jug is the only good trophy. The Brass Spittoon is just a lame attempt at manufacturing history ("Hey guys, this is old - let's play for it!")
October 18th, 2014 at 6:43 PM ^
...which they've been playing for since 1950. At least it's not the Land Grant Trophy, which looks like something the Big 10 worked up in the back room of a local trophy shop after a trip to the MSU and PSU campus bookstores.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:57 PM ^
I know they've been playing for it for awhile. Doesn't change the fact that it's an artificial, completely arbitrary prize to play for. Neither program ever used the spittoon. It's just a random old thing they found.
October 18th, 2014 at 7:21 PM ^
Little secret: That's true of most trophies. You think Minnesota or Wisconsin ever used the Battle Ax?
October 18th, 2014 at 7:40 PM ^
That's the only one like that right? Didn't Iowa use the Floyd of Rosedale and I'm pretty sure USC took the jeweled shillelagh from William Wallace himself, setting up the rivalry with Notre Dame.

Alabama is putting on a clinic.
Ohio State, Michigan State, TCU taking it to their opponents.
I've watched a fair amount of football today, and this is clear: Michigan's play isn't even in the same league. The contrast is stark.
*sigh*
October 18th, 2014 at 6:42 PM ^
Alabama is destroying a should be decent A&M team. TCU is hammering a good Ok St. OSU and MSU aren't playing near the level of competition.

let's just say that MSU has the talent and possibly the will, too, to settle Hoke's hash once and for all next week.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:48 PM ^
Thank you sir may I have another?

Yeah, MSU is loaded on offense this year, how the hell did that happen? And why can't out 4th and 5th WRs make plays like that? And why can't our 2nd and 3rd strong RBs look like that? IU had a very good rush defense and they just got run over.
That's what is most frustrating, how can we not have any offensive play makers and MSU has them in spades?
Oh well, I see weakness in MSU's secondary, think we can make some big plays on them, get ahead early and rock them and who knows what can happen.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:54 PM ^
IU good rush defense? I don't think so, man.

Not sure where you got the idea that IU was good at any part of playing defense.

maybe tamu's last 3 games will make sumlin want to leave. he'll realize that the SEC is too tough. is he still a good candidate despite a&m's struggles? he would be a great recruiter.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:52 PM ^
Fuck no. His defenses have been notorious for being bad since he was at Houston and this year proved it again.
There's more to coaching than freaking recruiting which some people don't understand on here I guess.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:57 PM ^
calm down. he has a much better track record than the rest of the candidates at this point.
October 18th, 2014 at 7:00 PM ^
He has a track record of bad defenses and so far has A&M getting worse every year just like we are.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:50 PM ^
It sure does seem like Indiana always has someone important injured.

for Trevor Davis, that the fact they totally immobilized him is only precautionary. Hoping the kid's OK, at least he held his hand up in salute to the crowd as they carted him off.
October 18th, 2014 at 6:54 PM ^
I thought this weekend would be good because we couldn't lose- but watching MSU and OSU it feels like we lost anyway.
Without a UM game I am able to completely focus on how far behind we are - and man that hurts
October 18th, 2014 at 7:01 PM ^
a bye week, hopefully those still drinking the mass delusional kool-aid can see for themselves just how awful our coaching and player development really is.
