Stanford vs Oregon is somewhat of a rivalry game though. I would hope MSU doesn't go into this game with a "Stanford did it, so can we" mindset. Stanford/MSU have similar playing styles but familiarity plays a huge part in that as well.

This is what annoys me about a team like Iowa. They have the ability to play like that at any time, but Ferentz is more interested in being boring and trying to win games by putting the opponent to sleep.

A bit early to call "it is all figured out" midday through the 1st but MSU defense has been top 10 3 years in a row. Defense travels. MSU will always be competitive with that type of defense.

The only spread team that has beaten them consistently is ND and they have done that scoring 20 and 17 pts.
