Friday Posbang
Congrats, you made it to Friday.
- Joe Kerridge uniform # days until App State
- Glorious weather (all summer and moar this weekend) for those of us who don't love humid and hot
- Caris LeVert just grew another 1/16th of an inch
- So did Peppers although he doesn't need it
- Soft spot in the sports schedule with World Cup over, no British Open, and pro football exhibition games (i.e. the Lions playoffs) still a few weeks off so get outside - or if so inclined spend all weekend eating your Chobani yogurt indoors.
- Only 4 months until you will be battling shoppers at 6AM the day after Thanksgiving...err 2 AM... err 10 PM... err 6 PM on Thanksgiving for Christmas gifts.
- There will be BBQs...perhaps without subs... but you might still need a seatbelt because it could get crazy. Maybe even twice.
Me too! Anyone up for some flip cup?
Hypnotizing.
It took about 12 plays of this to notice the cup.
is impressed
Wife material.
to talk your best friend out of marrying that ohio girl! what kind of best friend would let that happen? what's next, letting him marry a taliban girl?
Making the world a better place-one Ohio girl at a time.
I guess that makes sense, and it's a noble cause (quite possibly the noblest) but I don't know if I'd have it in me to marry such a Michigan-less heathen...
the marriage got infected and I had to chop it off after six years...should have done it after TWO.
Wow... that seems a little extreme, but I'm curious: did you use a straight razor or a butcher's cleaver?
Seeing as we didn't have the shaving thread until this week, I'd go with cleaver.
Wife's family is from there, so we're going for a golf weekend. I'm arming myself with jokes like, "Are you putting the band back together" and some things similar. Should be fun, two scramble tournaments in one weekend with lots of beer. Should be a blast!
And we all know what "lunch with my gf" means - thanks for keeping it PG.
it's great to be in michigan in the summer.
(I am assuming you Bowhunt because of your name)
around the farm, a couple of mobile ones that don't move much. I have done some clearing with the brush hog in what we call fields 1 and 2. will probably put in some rye in field 2 in the next month.
and you, JT, bow hunter?
My weekend officially begins at 1 PM today, and after taking care of a couple things, it will essentially be me and my son for most of the weekend as my wife has three straight days of afternoon / evening shifts and my daughter is going with my mother-in-law for a mini-vacation to the west side of the state. This presents an opportunity to watch sports and various movies with relatively little interruption save for answering the door when the pizza shows up and running outside to check on the grill on occasion. In other words, I am hoping for a father-son sort of weekend of sorts.
First, however, I sort of have to muddle through work until a smidge after lunch. There are no meetings to struggle through today, at least, so I will be able to actually produce what I call "The Friday Batch" of reports with relative ease unless the phone starts ringing.
I was scrolling down and quickly pos-banging everyone, and accidentally negged OhioNBlue33. Bummed, I tried to upvote to at least cancel out the neg, and the upvote also removed the neg.
is on my short list of retirement destinations. I've got 12-15 years to go but doing my research now.
I'M ON TIME FOR A POSBANG FOR ONCE. SAY WHAT.
Everything is going well here, I've got one more week in Africa before I head back stateside. If anyone ever gets a chance to go to Ghana, I'd highly recommend it. Awesome country and the people here are great. I also met Chris Bosh here. That was a weird, yet awesome, turn of events.
Also, it's just starting to hit the point for me where I'm getting hyped up for CFB season. I love this and hate this as well, mostly because we still have over a month to wait until we play that first game which we are all ruing so greatly.
I am still not completely sure what to think about this team, but IMHO if our O-Line can pull itself together, we could be very good. However, even if that happens, I don't think we'd compete for the B1G, mostly because our schedule is brutal (home/away game wise). I think our defense has the possibility to be great—as long as our safeties turn out to be okay—and our offense completely depends on the O-Line, but I think an average O-Line could yeild a pretty good offense. I am far to excited to see what Peppers and Funchess can do this season, and my expectations for them are probably way to high (if they both don't win the Heisman trophy, imma be pissed).
Happy Friday you wonderful old blog!
Happy Friday!!! Looks like a nice weekend in West MI for some relaxing at the in-laws lake house.
Joe Nathan stepped it up last night. 9th inning save, 3 up and 3 down, all strikeouts. All he needed was a threat to his job sitting in the bullpen.
WIshing everyone a great weekend!
impossible-to-please cat likes and upvotes that play. A little. Sort of.

I am ready to go on this field and battle with you gentlemen.
I want to know, are you ready to on the field with me?!
But that's a great idea! We've got some time before the first concert this evening and the cafe isn't that far from the WMU campus...
Golf outing this afternoon and then working on the new house this weekend! I'm burning money fast!
