See The Don’s usage this year
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:07 PM ^
F off. This is ridiculous. Absolutely no excuse for this.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:08 PM ^
This defense sucks!
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:09 PM ^
Not great Cotton
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:10 PM ^
Dear lord they look like they’re regressing. Nothing looked promising with this team at all today. Hoping Goff can get better pass coverage and better play from him
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:16 PM ^
Just run Williams on crossing routes all day like Don Brown is the GB Def coordinator...
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:17 PM ^
Much better second half from the Lions, but that fake punt may end up being a killer. Just far too much risk there for marginal reward.
And then there's the ripple effect: if the Packers still were sitting on 23 points, the Lions could have kicked field goals these last two possessions.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:26 PM ^
That was just an unbelievably stupid decision.
I still think Campbell is a meathead. Wayne Fontes 2.0.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:59 PM ^
Sometimes dumb is just dumb. Campbell is heralded for risk taking but when the game is in the balance, it’s just poor coaching.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:03 PM ^
They're on to him! He's not going to take anyone by surprise anymore! I can't believe he went for it, especially the distance as well as the field position, as well as even if we did make the first down we'd still have some 70 yards to go to make it payoff.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:18 PM ^
The play calling has also been awful. Trying to be too clever.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:19 PM ^
Shit playcalling in the redzone now, entire team and staff weren't ready for today
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:04 PM ^
You know who was ready though? Green Bay. It's like they were stealing signs or something. Or looked at some game tape and knew their tendencies.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:19 PM ^
Goff sucks
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:19 PM ^
HORRIBLE playcalling the last three plays.
This looks like the Lions teams with Stafford. Upto this point they definitely look like a typical SOL.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:21 PM ^
Ben Johnson... if you want to stay here as OC, you can just not interview for other jobs. This isn't the way to go about this.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:24 PM ^
Welp. Time for more edibles.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:26 PM ^
Tell the Fat Lady she's on in 5
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:27 PM ^
I'd like to thank the NFL’s atrocious officiating today for reminding me why I stopped watching their version of pro wrestling. Looking forward to having my Sundays back.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:32 PM ^
I always rather see Michigan be the winner this week not Lions 🤷♂️
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:32 PM ^
Seems like they are going at a slow pace to score and hope for an onsides kick recovery.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:35 PM ^
This drive looks like they think they're down by 6.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:36 PM ^
So miss the horse collar, but call holding...
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:38 PM ^
Yeah came to say the same thing, what a crock!
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:37 PM ^
Detroit outgained Green Bay by over 100 yards and lost. So many missed opportunities.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:07 PM ^
As bad as the players, the coaches, and the refs were today, we still only lost by 7. That's encouraging.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:39 PM ^
You've got to spike it there and save the timeout. If you have all three timeouts, you can still have a chance if the onside kick fails. Now you must recover it.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:39 PM ^
Why go for 2 now? I dont get it
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:40 PM ^
Where was that play the last couple times they were in GB territory?
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:40 PM ^
Pooch kick. No one ever recovers an onside kick.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:48 PM ^
Seems like the drive management on the Lion's last drive was to go for an onsides kick. As bad as Glenn's preparation and calling was for the defense in this game, Johnson also called a bad game for the other side.
There is definitely a lot to worry about for the remaining 6 games of the season. The offensive line, Goff, the entire defense and play-calling on both sides have become bad.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:44 PM ^
Dan Campbell just had to go for a fake punt at their own 20-something yard line. The only points GB scored in the 2nd half came from that decision.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:51 PM ^
Lions were out blocked and out tackled. And had turnovers. Tough to win that way. Had an off day. Shake it off and move on. I’m happy for Gary
November 23rd, 2023 at 5:24 PM ^
Lions had the opportunity to draft Gary in the 2019 draft. They chose Hockenson instead.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:52 PM ^
Games like this make me wonder if Campbell can ever get the Lions to be a contender. What a horribly mismanaged game.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:55 PM ^
Lions need to fire entire defensive staff and trade Goff. Draft a QB high and spend the money you would have spent on a Goff extension on fixing the defense. Plenty of talent on offense to were a rookie QB can succeed.
The OL playing so poorly the past two weeks is a mystery.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:09 PM ^
They have a couple of injuries on the oline and they have no pass rush. Their dbs aren't good enough to cover for 5 seconds on every pass.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:34 PM ^
Green Bay had more injuries than the Lion's did according to Olson.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:14 PM ^
Honestly the defense played well aside from the first drive. There was the fumble-six and then two short field scores against. Considering Glenn never blitzes and we never get home with 4, they played really well.
Decker, Glasgow, and Ragnow were all awful today in pass protection. That's a problem.
November 23rd, 2023 at 3:57 PM ^
Hard to watch the Lions as long as Aaron Glenn is the DC. He is absolutely awful.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:01 PM ^
Loss sucks, but -3 turnover margin on consecutive weeks and you go 1-1?
I'll take it.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:07 PM ^
They are overrated. Maybe 11 wins. Maybe one playoff win. They aren't going to the SB
November 23rd, 2023 at 6:09 PM ^
Perhaps some perspective is in order. It’s been over 30 years since the Lions won 11+ games and won a playoff game. It’s not hard to see why people get a little carried away.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:08 PM ^
This was a typical Lions Turkey day game! This was a game they needed. I’m not sure they will make the playoffs now. Defense does not look dominate any longer and offense turns the ball over too often!
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:29 PM ^
You’re not sure they’ll make the playoffs? They’re 8-3. The first team out of the playoffs is 5-6.
November 23rd, 2023 at 4:13 PM ^
That was a hard game to watch. Terrible on all sides of the ball. Nothing good you can take from that game.
November 23rd, 2023 at 5:07 PM ^
Very on-brand for the Lions to thoroughly disappoint their long-suffering fans in their biggest regular season game of the year.
I guess there's no risk of the bandwagon getting too crowded now.
November 23rd, 2023 at 5:27 PM ^
The Lions would have been better off without Dan Campbell on the sidelines.
