Spartan Stadium Roll Call
Tickets are now as low as 108 dollars each for two tickets. That's worth it for me to see Harbaugh running it up against MSU. I expect the stadium to be 60 percent Michigan fans next week.

I bet you'll get a free coke with those two tickets...
October 15th, 2023 at 4:38 PM ^
That $108 is $138 with fees. Better prices (lower fees) at seatgeek.
October 16th, 2023 at 8:36 AM ^
SeatGeek hit me with $30 fee per ticket, but I was able to find a couple for $67 before the fee. 10 yard line lower bowl.

Free coke to MSU fans would be a dangerous proposition.

Maize Out!
October 15th, 2023 at 4:15 PM ^
I'll be there - section 106. First true road game I've ever been to, so very excited.
October 15th, 2023 at 7:59 PM ^
Section 108 here! Also first road game I have been to.
October 15th, 2023 at 4:23 PM ^
I'll be there. My Father in Law got a 4 pack through MSU. He, my MiL, and wife are all Spartans. But as I tell people, "My wife then got two UofM degrees to class up her resume."
The great part is, as soon as FiL secured the tickets for the four of us, the Spartan-in-Laws have a conflict so can't go. Replacing them will be two additional Wolverines.
Look for me, I'll be wearing Maize.

Spartan Stadium was my first B1G. Sadly, I canceled my @Minn game earlier this year. The B1G Bucket List continues:

Nice list!

It is a trash tornado, but it is a good place to watch a game. When my youngest was ready for a college football game, I actually took him to a NW at MSU game just a warmup. It isn’t “as much” as going to a Michigan game. Financially, energy wise, etc. You park on “some road” and walk two blocks and bam, football. There also is not a bad seat in the house.
Do not get me wrong, it’s NOTHING like a Michigan home game in terms of “coolness” and atmosphere but you can do a lot worse than Spartan Stadium in terms of catching a game.
October 15th, 2023 at 6:04 PM ^
and just in case your kid decides on a life of crime, you've given him that gray prison experience too!
October 15th, 2023 at 6:25 PM ^
I think Sparty's upper-level seats (with their sight lines) are better than ours. The view of the surrounding area is also very nice on a fall day. I can definitely see it as a good place for a "starter" game.
October 15th, 2023 at 7:04 PM ^
We used to have good fall color at Michigan Stadium but they paved paradise and put up a parking lot ... and gave us a DJ who sits inside when it rains.
October 16th, 2023 at 10:39 AM ^
They aren't great seats to watch a night game outdoor hockey game from. I had a hard time seeing who was scoring what. I feel like I was there but missed an amazing hockey game. Better experience with the outdoor game at Michigan Stadium. Haven't tried football in there yet.

Definitely get spoiled at the Big House with beautiful architecture and effort to make things look nice.
MSU stadium and many others (like Penn State) clearly shows years of little modifications and adjustments and has a very industrial feel. There are also a lot of ads which regular Michigan fans are spoiled in not having everywhere.
The Big House is really as close to a pure college football experience - just the field, and stands. No ads for someone's insurance company or some grocery store.

I was really disappointed at Beaver Stadium. Walking in, all exposed girders and such. Seemed pretty janky.
October 15th, 2023 at 7:37 PM ^
I had two more to go and then they added four more teams.
October 15th, 2023 at 4:23 PM ^
I'll be there for the Maize Out. My last night game in EL was clockgate. Not even Spartan Bob can save this lackluster group of Spartans.
October 15th, 2023 at 6:02 PM ^
Calling a Maize Out for an away game--cheeky! I like it!
October 15th, 2023 at 4:27 PM ^
Damn, I wish I could be there. This team is going to come out fired up.
Represent well, my MGoBretheren.
October 15th, 2023 at 4:32 PM ^
I will be headed there.

I had tickets but sold them as I unfortunately have a conflict that day. Can't wait to see the broadcast show the crowd. Expecting to see a lot of maize!!
October 15th, 2023 at 4:43 PM ^
Hoping tickets come down a little more then may get a group together. Already planning on making the trip to Happy Valley
October 15th, 2023 at 4:49 PM ^
I will also be in Happy Valley with 2 other Wolverines!
October 15th, 2023 at 5:01 PM ^
Now, that would be a special trip worth every $$$. We could definitely use every Michigan man/woman support. I'm sure you'll represent us well!
October 15th, 2023 at 4:53 PM ^
I'll be there wearing some new gear.
October 16th, 2023 at 12:31 AM ^
I hope you know jiu-jitsu...
October 15th, 2023 at 5:01 PM ^
I will be watching and representing from deep in SEC country (South Carolina)
GO BLUE!
October 15th, 2023 at 5:04 PM ^
I plan to be there. I figure it will be like last year's Hawaii game with a few differences:
- Road game (obv.)
- Colder (also obv.)
- Classier collection of well-past-their-drinking-prime drunks
- Uglier stadium
I guess that's more than few.
October 15th, 2023 at 5:08 PM ^
Buy now or buy later? Lots of tickets still available.
October 15th, 2023 at 7:13 PM ^
My guess is prices keep dropping all week. I just went to Neb & Min, but if these get low enough, might have to go.
October 16th, 2023 at 11:19 AM ^
My son turns 8 in a few weeks, so I might get tickets for his birthday if they keep coming down. He hasn't been to a Michigan game since he was about 3 because he's always busy with sports (soccer season just finished but basketball games are supposed to start this weekend).
October 15th, 2023 at 5:08 PM ^
These prices aren’t dissimilar to prices at Minnesota a couple of weeks ago.
If you’re in the area you may never get a better chance to see Michigan play there.

going
October 15th, 2023 at 5:23 PM ^
I’m in!
October 15th, 2023 at 5:57 PM ^
Will be going with four others. Second road game of the year for me (Nebraska). First time I've ever made an MSU road game. Any recommended pregame activities over there for a small group of Michigan fans?
October 15th, 2023 at 7:54 PM ^
To be fair to East Lansing, it does have a few decent places to eat, although I haven't been to any of them on a game day. I would normally go just straight to Spartan Stadium since it is an 80-90 minute haul for me (I live in downriver Wayne County), so by then, it is far more about stretching my legs and simply nodding politely at MSU fans on my way into the stadium. It depends on what you're in the mood for, I suppose.
October 15th, 2023 at 8:28 PM ^
Depends on when you get there. If you are looking for a place to watch the games before and have a few beers, somewhere in Okemos probably offers the best options with the least amount of work to get to the game. I’d hit up old Chicago, buddies pub, buddies pizzeria, etc. then I’d head to the game via Mt. Hope and park at shaw lane lot and take the shuttle. This should allow you to avoid having to go into campus and fight with traffic. If you’re coming from North, I’d probably go with a different idea though.

Good luck, boys!
October 15th, 2023 at 8:32 PM ^
I will be there with my dad, looking forward to Michigan taking on another road challenge and taking care of the Spartans in their house! Hoping for an incident-free experience both on the field and in the stands/stadium environs (of course entirely expecting requisite amout of verbal abuse). Probably won't be spending all day in E. Lansing, but still looking forward to witnessing this chapter of the rivalry!
October 15th, 2023 at 9:07 PM ^
I'm surprising my dad with tickets. I took him to the Iowa game in 2016. He was a school teacher and was never super wealthy but was always wise with his money and so he only took me to games in the 4th quarter back the 90s by taking me and my siblings in when we were blowing out teams and they just opened the gates for anyone. After all the shit that my parents have supported me through it's almost literally the least I can do. I'd rather not admit how much I spent on these tickets but here's the view from the seats. Cheers to the man who got me into this crazy thing which we bonded over for 37 years
October 15th, 2023 at 9:27 PM ^
i think your view could be more like this...
October 15th, 2023 at 9:25 PM ^
Do you get a shot of penicillin and one of those trash pokey sticks with the ticket?
October 15th, 2023 at 9:28 PM ^
I will be there, for my 55th consecutive U of M v. MSU game (excluding, of course, the COVID year).
