Hogan Hansen Has Committed to Michigan
Today Michigan Football landed its fourth commit for the 2024 recruiting class, and it's third inside the top 300 of the composite in TE Hogan Hansen:

Hansen hails from Bellevue, Washington, and is a consensus 4* prospect. He is listed at 6'5", 200 lbs. and had offers from PAC-12 giants like Washington and Oregon, in addition to Stanford and Auburn. Hasnen is ranked as the #17 TE in the country and #280 overall in the On3 Consensus rankings, while 24/7's composite has him at #267 nationally and the #15 TE. Hansen represents another recruiting win that is helping build momentum for the 2024 class, needed after a rocky experience in 2023. There is no content after the jump.

December 8th, 2022 at 3:27 PM ^
Well, not All the tight ends.

I see what you did there.

You clever animal.
Upvoted.

Let’s have another great Hansen FB player for the state of Michigan.

Only because I couldn't resist...

Rock and Roll, brother.

Welcome,
Hogan Hansen,
to the team that formerly included
Hassan Haskins,
at the university formerly led by
Harlan Henthorne Hatcher.
It's an H of a day!
December 8th, 2022 at 4:06 PM ^
Harlan Huckelby approves.
December 8th, 2022 at 4:12 PM ^
Hey hey!
December 8th, 2022 at 6:45 PM ^
That's Harlan "H-Bomb" Huckleby, if you please.

Not much of a uniform change for him. Bellevue's mascot is the Wolverines and they have similar colors and uniforms as Michigan including the helmets. In the past they've been a running team but they may pass more these days.

Go with what you know!
December 8th, 2022 at 5:55 PM ^
it’s great
to be
a Bellevue Wolverine

This picture was from last year's 3A championship game which they won. This year's team lost in the semifinals to eventual champion Yelm 28-27 when they gave up a touchdown with 35 seconds to go after a 94 yard drive. They've been a perennial power but a few years ago they were given a 4 year suspension and had to vacate 2 state titles after booster and recruiting violations. They now have 11 titles (13 total).

He's a borderline top 100 guy on 247
Let's keep this 2024 recruiting momentum going

"needed after a rocky experience in 2023"... sigh, I wistfully look at the hordes of top players committed to places like Miami, ND, TA&M and think, "surely there is still time to rescue 2023."
But, yeah, there isn't.

Can you off hand tell me the dates that Derrick Moore, Keon Sabb, Amorion Walker or Darrius Clemons committed to Michigan's 2022 class?
All were later than this, some by over a month. There's time.
Not making any promises, just relaying some facts!
December 8th, 2022 at 9:43 PM ^
They all committed December 15th for what it's worth.
December 8th, 2022 at 3:48 PM ^
So Oregon cleverly offered twice!
But he wasn't fooled!
Good man! Go Blue!
December 8th, 2022 at 4:42 PM ^
Yes, but did he receive an offer from Oregon?
December 8th, 2022 at 3:48 PM ^
One Hansen leaves (to follow Don Brown, it appears), another joins. The TE circle of life

Hogan’s Heroes
December 8th, 2022 at 3:51 PM ^
Maybe some of the student section will dress up as Hogan's Heroes, but probably not because they'll have no idea what Hogan's Heroes is. Either way, welcome and Go Blue!
December 8th, 2022 at 3:54 PM ^
They know nothing! NOTHING!!!
December 8th, 2022 at 4:56 PM ^
I always heard it more as, "Zey know nussing! NUSSING!"
December 8th, 2022 at 3:53 PM ^
What an awesome name for a tight end. Or anybody. Welcome!!

Harlan Huckleby da man
December 8th, 2022 at 4:03 PM ^
welcome to TE heaven young man
December 8th, 2022 at 4:24 PM ^
He and Brady Prieskorn would make an fantastic TE combo for 2024.
December 8th, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
Yes, but is he a chonky boi? Asking for a friend…
December 8th, 2022 at 8:44 PM ^
Username checks out.
December 8th, 2022 at 4:37 PM ^
That kid LOOKS like a B1G champ already
December 8th, 2022 at 4:58 PM ^
Michigan will still have a Hansen playing TE in 2024, hahahahaha! You can't stop us!
December 8th, 2022 at 5:03 PM ^
A 6'6" kid who can block effectively and makes an impact as an EDGE. Maybe he bulks up to 260-ish and pretends to be Hutch? If he can catch and run, it would also be cool to have a monster TE, of course.
December 8th, 2022 at 5:16 PM ^
He was good in Can't Buy Me Love. Surprised he's not older now.
December 8th, 2022 at 5:27 PM ^
BOOM! Another player for a championship team! This 2024 class will help keep Michigan football as perennial National Championship contender!
Also, I have a sneaking suspicion this 2023 class is going to finish better than expected. Coaching turnover creates opportunity.
December 8th, 2022 at 5:27 PM ^
Typo on his last name middle of article.
December 8th, 2022 at 6:25 PM ^
Steve Schilling worked out pretty well for us from Bellevue. Welcome Hogan and Go Blue!!
December 8th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
Oregon must have really wanted him - they offered him twice.

What a tragic time to lose Louis Hansen, imagine all the jokes we could have made. F
