Excellent lecture from Dr. Devin re: Harbaugh and JJ getting to this point (MMQB)
Devin has a great soliloquy about JJ having to deal with having Cade in front of him going into the spring. He talks about how Harbaugh said it was a competition, but as the player playing from behind, you are going to be skeptical of whether or not the competition is real. Great mention of Andrel Anthony as well. Devin describes how both JH and JJ handled everything with utmost class.

Dr. Devin? Did he go to Med school with Jill Biden?
December 5th, 2022 at 12:09 PM ^
I'm starting a movement to give him an honarary doctorate for his ability to exposite all things Michigan.
And here is a better link, I think:
Note to self: Ah! That's what that "t=..." portion of YouTube links does. YouTube hadn't been invented when I was in the CE program at M, so most professors rarely discussed it in detail...

Honestly, he's a QB/football Dr. in my book.
His take on the Iowa offensive line completely changed my opinion of Cade's/All's choice.
December 6th, 2022 at 2:20 AM ^
He can break down game film.

Jill Biden did not go to med school. She has a doctorate of Education. Her dissertation was on student retention in community colleges.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:27 PM ^
low quality video but it is of her graduation.
December 5th, 2022 at 2:35 PM ^
Here's the deal! and BTW, think about it, come on man!
December 5th, 2022 at 12:23 PM ^
Sick burn considering you probably go to facebook for medical advice.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:23 PM ^
Is this question intentionally stupid and political, or was it an accident? Asking for a friend.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:25 PM ^
It was a joke - ironic humor. I overestimated the sophistication of my fellow bloggers
Devin is much of a physician as Jill is 🙃
December 5th, 2022 at 12:28 PM ^
The term Dr. Doesn’t always mean physician, obviously
December 5th, 2022 at 12:29 PM ^
Pointing out obvious things takes away from the humor. Many uneducated people have praised Jill for being a wonderful physician.
I thought it was pretty witty, but it didn’t land well - and that is just fine.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:36 PM ^
Kudos to you good sir. We don't need no steenkin' /s, this isn't rcmb.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:43 PM ^
Many uneducated people have praised Jill for being a wonderful physician.
Where, exactly? Many uneducated people have derided her for using her earned title of "Doctor of Education" to score political points. I've not seen people praising her for work in the field of medicine. Stop it.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:46 PM ^
Actual intelligent people usually underestimate their knowledge.
Thank you for opening your mouth and proving without a shadow of a doubt where you stand.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:49 PM ^
First of all, nobody is mistaking her for a medical doctor, that's not a thing.
Secondly, making a joke at her expense that essentially boils down to "lol she's not a real doctor" is low-brow and insulting. Do YOU have a Ph.D.? It's not easy to get, I speak from personal experience. We shouldn't be minimizing the accomplishment...in fact the word "doctor" is academic, it translates to "scholar" or "one who teaches". She's a literal expert in her field. The label was earned.
But sure LOL she's not a real doctor AMIRITE PEOPLE???
December 5th, 2022 at 12:57 PM ^
PHDs who refer to themselves as “Dr.” are laughably pretentious.
December 5th, 2022 at 2:14 PM ^
It's actually pretty common in academics. I really don't have a problem with proffessors with PHDs going by doctor. Whatever. Lawyers that sign esquire? Different story.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:42 PM ^
Well, esq-uuuuuuuse me.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:41 PM ^
Really?
December 5th, 2022 at 5:45 PM ^
If you look at the history of the term 'doctor' you'll find youve actually got it backwards.
December 6th, 2022 at 12:05 AM ^
This isn't quite right. It may be pretentious to insist on it in everyday contexts, but you're generally going to invoke it in publications and academic contexts--so that people know you engaged the issues involved in sustained fashion, wrote about it, and were examined by experts in your field about that knowledge. And I know lots of people who get called Doctor by friends who esteem them in their work and social lives, as well as among working class people who know how damned hard it is to obtain such degrees. Usually, you have put in three-plus to seven years obtaining it.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:34 PM ^
I think the poster is referring to and picking on Whoopi Goldberg who mistook her for a medical doctor.
But it was a poor joke that went into the politics realm and thus gets us off of football.
December 5th, 2022 at 2:53 PM ^
To be technical, she has an Ed.D. not a Ph. D.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:48 PM ^
Hey. I thought it was funny.
December 5th, 2022 at 3:00 PM ^
Shhhh! We're in the minority!
December 5th, 2022 at 2:21 PM ^
Exactly. Bryce Young is shilling for Dr. Pepper.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:34 PM ^
Classic asshole move right here. Blaming everyone else for your stupidity and ignorance.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:38 PM ^
You vastly overestimated the sophistication of your own humor, but that's not the worst part.
You introduced an explicitly partisan political talking point—"har har har that dumb Jill Biden is using Dr. when she didn't go to medical school" is a standard FoxNews jibe—in a thread that has zero to do with politics.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:38 PM ^
Nailed it. Even if it's a joke, it just comes across as highly partisan. I tried to formulate a comment to that effect, but decided to just neg and move on.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:42 PM ^
"I overestimated the sophistication of my fellow bloggers"
unsurprisingly, crap answer (blaming the bloggers, not the trolling comment) instead of just admitting it was crap
December 5th, 2022 at 12:30 PM ^
This guy didn't go to medical school either, so you can mock him now too.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:42 PM ^
That guy needs to be mocked, alive or not.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:49 PM ^
I still find it crazy that Liberty University (founded by Dr. Jerry Falwell) hired the Baylor AD (from the endemic raping period) and Hugh Freeze who hired prostitutes to get recruits. They sure are good at forgiveness and redeeming people...
December 5th, 2022 at 12:56 PM ^
Well, it is a principle tenet of the New Testament.
December 6th, 2022 at 11:45 AM ^
Hmm... I thought the New Testament talked about forgiveness after repentance...
But it's been a while since I paid much attention to the Bible.
December 5th, 2022 at 1:05 PM ^
It's really not that crazy if you pay attention to actual behavior and not just the bragging claims of religious organizations.
December 5th, 2022 at 2:30 PM ^
If you want the perfect example of how F'd up the priorities are, the rumor is that Auburn didn't consider Deon Sanders for their job because of his personality was too much. So then they go hire the guy who was human trafficking escorts for his recruits, all because he's a good, religious man.
December 5th, 2022 at 2:33 PM ^
Hmmm ... it was his personality? If you believe that ...
December 5th, 2022 at 12:49 PM ^
He's pretty easy to mock, but his son takes it to new depths. Mocking Jerry Falwell Jr. is like winning a prank war against a particularly unmotivated baby.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
You're a fucking idiot, Indy. Keep that shit in your Qanon cult meetings.
December 5th, 2022 at 12:38 PM ^
Given the “no politics rule” you could have gone with Dr. Phil, Dr. Falwell, or even Bill Cosby.
hmmm….but you chose the 1st lady. Interesting.

Dr Van Nostrand would have been my pick!
December 5th, 2022 at 1:32 PM ^
or Dr. Dre! Or Doc McStuffins. No way she ever went to med school. She's like 3.
