Could you at least post a link?
Not just picking on you in particular, but lately there seems to be even more OPs than usual that are very lacking in content.
If it's worth posting as a thread, PLEASE don't make the OP bare-bones.

Threadjack!!!!
Hey rob f, have you thought about when we can get together?
Maybe later this week sometime?
An idea, I think the Whitecaps are in town all this week. Not sure if you're a baseball fan, but I know I am---I've been looking forward to scouting out Torkelson and some of the other Tigers prospects now that we have high A Minor League Baseball in town.
And that way if there are others on the MGoBoard who might want to join us, they're welcome to also.
Good idea?. Due to golf league commitments, Wednesday is the only day for me. They have half off tickets that night for old folks like us. Maybe we could meet at the Corner Bar in Rockford earlier that afternoon. Just a thought.
That would work for me, I believe.
Hot dogs and a beer at the Rockford Corner Bar on Wednesday before moving on to LMCU Ballpark. And an invite for anyone else in the GR vicinity who'd like to join us.
-----------
And now, LOL, I'm suddenly getting sidebar advertisements to ''Meet Single Asian Women''. SMH at the ad algorithms of this website.
Mind forwarding that link to the hot Asian women?
What time do you want to meet at the Corner Bar?
That I'm not sure; I think the first pitch at Whitecaps games beginning in June is at 7pm, correct?
The Corner Bar @5 pm, maybe, it also depends upon if anybody else wants to join in for some beer and baseball. Maybe later this evening I'll post a thread and see if anyone else is interested. Right now getting ready to get off my ass and get in a bike ride on the White Pine Trail after dinner.
5 pm works?
I totally agree but at least he didn't say "Title says it all"
It's a little crazy that the #2 recruit in the country makes one OV and is like "nope, I'm good", but crazier things can happen.
I have a feeling this is a long way from over especially if he commits to Florida and they have a crap season. He's from Tennessee so not a sure thing for UF holding on to him
I don't know his background and if he's got an affinity to UF (maybe family?), but I'd be surprised even with a commitment if this was the last we heard of him on the recruiting trail.
He has said all along Florida was his dream school and for another school to change his mind he would have to get absolutely blown away.
I guess he doesn't feel like that is going to happen.
I don't see anything there that makes me think he's going Florida. Everything I have seen up to now is Alabama or Michigan, Florida being the only outlier.
The Florida visit may have shown him he DOESN'T want Florida. I'd rather take that away from this tweet.
With all his twitter about Michigan I felt, and still feel, it's Michigan or Alabama.
But who knows. But Florida, just doesn't jibe.
Nolan did re tweet a Florida safety after announcing he's made his decision. I feel like that, in tandem of literally just taking his official visit to Florida, is pretty telling.
But then again, trying to interpret the tweets of 17 year olds is generally an exercise in futility.
Yeah, it could be Florida.
I guess I've seen stranger things.
If he went Alabama I could understand. Florida?
People would say the same thing if he committed to Michigan in that same scenario.
But there has been no talk about Florida in regards to Nolen like Michigan.
And if this single retweet of a Florida player to his twitter is the reason for believing he's going with Florida-albeit it its timing- I could link retweets he's made containing Sam Webb, EJ Holland, Kody Jones, and Will Johnson.
I'm wondering if he retweeted that tweet from the Florida player to mess with people.
I don’t follow recruiting much. When was the last time it was down to Michigan and Alabama and the player chose Michigan?
Nico Collins
Agreed, I actually I figured out I wanted to go to Michigan immediately after visiting another school, so there is weird reverse logic that can happen among teenagers
Was always a longshot
Never coming here but the incessant hype from Sam got everyone worked up....
At times like this it helps to remember that Sam's job is literally to get people worked up during otherwise light news periods. And Sam us very good at all facets of his job.
Sam is a professional, but his hype game is not limited to light news periods though...
Sam repeatedly said that it was going to be an extremely tough recruitment but that we had a punchers chance. Stop being a troll.
Possible - maybe even probable - but he and his family basically spent all of June 1 at the Memphis camp with the JH and entire M defensive staff.
Maybe he decided after the UF trip that all the hoopla and pressure with official visits etc. is not for him since he already knows he's a Wolverine. (One can hope.)
No new CBs flowing in any direction for Walter so maybe nobody knows (edit: actually no ballz period). I would have expected at least a few for UF if the visit went that well and a commit was imminent.
I prefer your interpretation of recent events.
Maybe he decided after the UF trip that all the hoopla and pressure with official visits etc. is not for him since he already knows he's a Wolverine.
And maybe he got a sleazy feel/vibe from Dan Mullen that really turned him off from the whole recruiting business.
And maybe he got a big greasy bag of McDonald’s from Dan Mullen that really turned him off from the idea of continuing the whole recruiting business.
Maybe we're both correct. I wouldn't blame him if he decided Mullen is sleazy, took the bag, and committed to the good guys. Hell, I'd probably respect him even more.
C'mon, you too. Enough playing off each other to write your self-righteous fan fiction.
What's to prevent recruits from taking money from everyone and still making an independent decision. It all of the downlow, so Mullen, or whoever, can't really report it to the authorities. Is this like mafia-stuff where you get your legs broken? What recourse would a briber have beyond violence?
It probably doesn't happen more often because the players that take the money also want the future payments that come after that first one. It's like a signing bonus on top of a regular "salary". Just my guess, though.
I believe Texas A&M bought Eric Dickerson a Trans-Am that he promptly took with him to SMU. I'm no fan of cheating but this is hilarious. What was A&M going to do about it? Sue him for being a more clever cheat than they were?
Are you aware that Mullen was Hackett's plan B after Harbaugh? Mullen is a great coach and if sleazy then Hackett would haven't had him as the next option.
....and wasn't Les Miles Bill Martin's first choice???
Sure.
And I also know that because of Mullen Florida was placed on probation and he was given a one-year show-cause for recruiting violations. But I'm sure this is the first and only violation he was involved in. I also suppose he probably knew nothing about the shit going on at Florida when he was the OC/QB coach from 2005-08 under Urban Meyer...
He is also the guy that blamed his loss to TAMU on their crowd and threw a fit because he wasn't allowed to have a full crowd in attendance in the Swamp in the middle of a pandemic. TAMU's attendance was < 25,000, but apparently they were too loud for his team to perform or something. (Coincidentally, he tested positive for Covid shortly afterwards.)
This may not seem like much to you or others, and he might be a good coach, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's sleazy.
If that's true, then Hackett was just wrong. I do believe that Mullen is sleazy as hell
I like your optimism. So then we can assume that his June 18 visit will be more about recruiting others than being recruited. One can certainly hope.
Well if he is shutting down his recruitment that is the only way that visit will happen.
Has he even visited Michigan tho?
Yes - Came up for a self-guided tour in April or May. Has family (Grandma?) in Detroit.
Get this man his own newsletter STAT!!!
Erased previous comment with incorrect info.
Anyway, hopefully he already knows enough to decide to go blue.
Edit #2 (news dump): CMU beat UConn 14-9 today. Go Chips. Beat the hell outta ND.
It was his first OV right? Something tells me it won’t be his only commitment.
