Sewer gas has numbed your spider brain
October 20th, 2018 at 12:36 PM ^
But I'm right, aren't I? RIGHT? RIGHT????
October 20th, 2018 at 12:39 PM ^
How did that work out for Penn St last year?
October 20th, 2018 at 12:41 PM ^
Shut up.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:17 PM ^
I think that for once we have the better adjustment-making coaches, and that favors us. Also, we already demonstrated that we can run, and they pretty much can't, which also favors us.
Although it is against my principles to comfort psychotic clowns, I do in fact think that this favors us.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:28 PM ^
I have already prepared my anus for whatever Sparty black magic they have planned for the rest of this game.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:48 PM ^
Their bigger problem was that James Franklin was coaching them.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:30 PM ^
That plus Sparty black magic equals a loss.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:36 PM ^
This is our game. Full on meteor storm won’t save them today.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:36 PM ^
I think this does favor us. Regroup. Gameplan.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:37 PM ^
More than that, just settle down. Deep breaths. We already look really composed, but will be even more so, and will just go to work when the game fires back up.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:55 PM ^
They did look really composed. On both sides of the ball. That’s something I feel like we haven’t been very good at in past years in this game. Honestly this is probably good for me... settle down, breathe...
October 20th, 2018 at 12:57 PM ^
I know that I personally needed this break. Getting way too amped up and loud
October 20th, 2018 at 12:37 PM ^
I hate that it happened right when we were driving! Fuck!
October 20th, 2018 at 12:37 PM ^
I would just like to play them on a warm, calm day where our superior talent wouldn’t be compromised by lousy conditions.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:50 PM ^
Michigan is not exactly a finesse team. I don't buy that this makes a difference strategically. As the OP suggests I do think the calming of emotions probably benefits us
October 20th, 2018 at 12:58 PM ^
Their strength is rush defense. It's definitely an advantage for them.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:05 PM ^
I think it absolutely plays towards MSU. They get to take away some of the athletic edge we have, muck the game up a bit more, and play Tressel-ball by keeping things close and grinding things out. Give me a bright and sunny day.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:40 PM ^
Weather = variance, which always favors the underdog.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:50 PM ^
double post
October 20th, 2018 at 1:03 PM ^
Yeah man. Play Michigan - MSU in San Diego every year.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:39 PM ^
Maybe we could offer to install a dome for them.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:37 PM ^
Nothing that ever happens in this series is good for this team. Every bullshit weird ass thing that happens seems to always benefit the Sparties. Pisses me off. Just want a clean, no surprises game fir once in my life. ONCE!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:30 PM ^
Remove the reference to "Sparties" and enter "Wolverines", and do you realize that this is an exact quote of Sparty fan for the previous 40 years? (from late 1960s to 2007)
October 20th, 2018 at 1:44 PM ^
So? They're the 2nd dumbest fans on the planet after OSU fans.
And honestly, Michigan is a better program and has always had better talent so it would make sense we would mn win most of the games
October 20th, 2018 at 1:45 PM ^
MSU was the better team for some of these wins, but they have pulled bs out of their asses far far far more times than when UofM was clearly the dominant program in the state for decades.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:37 PM ^
Also helps because less of the game will be played in the rain.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:41 PM ^
It’s not supposed to stop raining until like 8pm lol
October 20th, 2018 at 12:48 PM ^
Yeah but it looks like there's some gaps in the radar and most of the later stuff looks to be light
October 20th, 2018 at 12:48 PM ^
After this goes through there isnt much rain. Just some light showers. And the skies clear fairly rapidly. But the wind picks up. By 8 pm we have clear skies and the temps drop into the upper 20s. All in all this is a pretty tame cold front for Michigan in late October.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:56 PM ^
Rain and thunder in GR lasted 15 minutes then sunshine. Need to get lead after break in case more we more weather later
October 20th, 2018 at 12:38 PM ^
This totally sucks. Sucks all the energy when we had momentum. Have to sit in a cramped locker room for who know how long. Another example of Sharty luck.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:10 PM ^
Nope. On the road, I'm fine with this. This Is good. Spartans need momentum. We need business as usual.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:10 PM ^
Double post, but I regret nothing.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:38 PM ^
Honestly I think so too. I think more people will return than we think but it won't be everyone...maybe this chills us out a little, though hopefully not too much.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:38 PM ^
Stop it. It's weather. It's not good for either team.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:41 PM ^
It's not that simple. If you are the less talented team you generally want bad conditions because that tends to keep the score down and increase variables like turnovers. If you are the more talented team, you want good conditions.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:48 PM ^
Yeah. Not true at all. Acknowledge weird things happen in bad weather, but it sucks the same for both teams.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:52 PM ^
Common sense dictates that the underdog wants a shorter game with more variance on individual plays. Poor weather conditions would tend to cause the game to bog down.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:58 PM ^
Weather breaks don't shorten games. You still play for 60 minutes. Nor does weather cause more variance on individual plays. Confusing association with causation, and non sequitur. #logical fallacies
October 20th, 2018 at 1:04 PM ^
Weather doesn't cause more variance in individual plays? Have you ever watched football?
Just to pick one obvious example, there are more fumbles when it is raining.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:20 PM ^
Nope, never watched or played football. Well done, ya got me.
Dude implied that poor weather causes more variance on individual plays. "Variance" does not equal negative effects, like fumbles. I'd be interested to see the case study, but would argue it more likely that variance actually decreases in poor weather. More short runs... less of everything else.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:59 PM ^
And yet the element of surprise has evaporated. Whatever new plan Sparty put together for this game, Michigan now has a chance to go over it in the locker room and make adjustments accordingly
October 20th, 2018 at 1:15 PM ^
I'm not saying the delay is bad; I like the delay. Playing in the bad weather would have been worse.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:35 PM ^
But that's what this thread is about
October 20th, 2018 at 12:41 PM ^
I mean you’re wrong, but sure
October 20th, 2018 at 12:47 PM ^
So are you
October 20th, 2018 at 12:53 PM ^
I will debate..I dont think bad weather benefits the lesser talented team..I think bad weather benefits the more aggressive physical team..it hurts the speedy type of teams
