I remember a poster on here named BB(i think? I dunno..my memory is going..ask the wife..hehe) and he said he was Myle Sims cousin? I never heard of Sims, but the guy seemed to really talk highly of him...hope to see some catches out of Mr. Spider Man! heheh...by the way...what happened to MR. BB? did he leave?

HEE HEE HEE HEE!!!!!!!

When a new poster casually asks about some previous and often divisive poster I invariably assume that the new guy is just the old guy with a new name.
And the constant "hehe" is freaking me out a bit.

hehe why?

Hi Mikey
August 31st, 2018 at 11:15 AM ^
Not counting ST production, I would guess Bell might see some snaps at WR with Black being out?
August 31st, 2018 at 11:35 AM ^
That is my prediction as well given that he's had a good camp.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:15 AM ^
I honestly don't want to see any. We didn't recruit much in the way of ready-for-the-field difference-makers, and we have an experienced team. Bell might get a few snaps at receiver, since the position is a bit thin, and Tru Wilson might get some playing time at RB, but other than that the only area where we'd be likely to see a freshman is if Mayfield is playing tackle. And that's bad.
The chances of us winning by such a large margin that the second string gets playing time are so remote that it's not even worth thinking about.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:19 AM ^
Hutchinson seems to be generating some buzz, so I could see him getting a decent amount of meaningful snaps in case any starters need a breather.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:23 AM ^
Possibly, and good point, though Paye will be Gary's backup and I don't anticipate Winovich spending much time off of the field.

buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
August 31st, 2018 at 11:36 AM ^
Tru Wilson isn't a freshman.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:40 AM ^
How do you know?
August 31st, 2018 at 12:04 PM ^
Internet said so.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:54 AM ^
Probably right, though Hutchinson could rotate in, and I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like VanSumeren getting some spot snaps in particular downs and distances (for example, it wouldn't be crazy for Harbaugh to roll out some weird combinations so exploit, say, VanSumeren in space if he catches ND flat-footed.
August 31st, 2018 at 4:49 PM ^
Tru Wilson is not a freshman.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:18 AM ^
Hutchinson.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:18 AM ^
Aidan Hutchinson on D and Ronnie Bell on O
August 31st, 2018 at 11:21 AM ^
These are the only two I want to see on the field and only after we've comfortably sealed the game in the 3rd quarter.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:30 AM ^
We've been told Hutchinson is in the 2-deep. He's going to play regardless.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:39 AM ^
We've also been told that Paye is the backup at both positions.
August 31st, 2018 at 2:11 PM ^
end thread.
August 31st, 2018 at 3:14 PM ^
Yeah, I think those 2 get some snaps. Christian Turner maybe too.
Mayfield or Muhammad if they end up needing help with the rush ends, which would be bad!
So, Bell & Hutchinson would be actual "best case" scenarios, meaning they're ready to contribute.
August 31st, 2018 at 5:59 PM ^
Wasn’t Turner hurt? I remember him being in a leg cast (soft cast I believe) a little over a week ago. He’s probably not healthy enough to even play, considering the rumor was he was 3rd on the depth chart before getting hurt
August 31st, 2018 at 11:19 AM ^
Hutchinson is in the two deep and will get snaps to give Gary a breather.
Doubt anyone else gets significant non-ST run.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:19 AM ^
Honestly hard to see any freshman getting too much run tomorrow, which is a good thing. Turner would see some snaps if he were healthy (he's not, it seems), so I'll go with Hutchinson, who's been billed as being in the 2-deep.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:19 AM ^
Jake Moody for kick offs, BVS at FB in some cases and maybe Ronnie Bell.
Otherwise, it'll be special teams coverage guys. Don't think we will see as many freshman contribute this year, however look for them to get some time in Week 2 and 3 and later in the year against the weaker opponents considering the new redshirt rule.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:21 AM ^
Tru Wilson seems the most likely to get a handful of snaps. Possibly Ben VanSumeren.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:36 AM ^
Tru Wilson is a Junior
August 31st, 2018 at 12:37 PM ^
I stand corrected. Was basing my knowledge off the depth chart here LINK.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:43 AM ^
Tru Wilson is a two time letterman already.
August 31st, 2018 at 12:14 PM ^
TRUer words were never spoken
August 31st, 2018 at 11:57 AM ^
Edit: BEATEN TO THE PUNCH
August 31st, 2018 at 11:21 AM ^
Aidan Hutchinson will rotate in and has been mentioned by several coaches as being ready. Not sure how much Gary will come off the field though if its a close game.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:22 AM ^
I wouldn't be surprised to see Ronnie Bell get a few rotations in on passing downs. Especially w Tarik out.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:27 AM ^
Close game: Maybe one or none.
Blowout: Release the hounds.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:36 AM ^
is Ronnie Bell Ronald Bellamy in disguise?
August 31st, 2018 at 11:36 AM ^
Hutch
August 31st, 2018 at 11:38 AM ^
hutchinson, barrett, bell and the kicker seem most ready / likely to play. they like spanellis so seems like hed maybe handle any 6th OL duties rather than mayfield or hayes out there. they have plenty of sophs and juniors to cover kicks but i could see guys like barrett, van sumeren, mcgrone, etc earning some special team reps (no frosh DB appear to have distanced themselves yet but well see)
August 31st, 2018 at 11:38 AM ^
Hopefully it's like McGrone or something with 10 kickoff snaps. That won't happen but it will probably be a guy on special teams.
I'd say Hutchinson gets the most non-ST game action but that might only be 5-10 snaps with Paye backing up both spots. I would be surprised if they rest Gary and Chase at the same time given ND will go tempo in that situation to lock them off the field.
August 31st, 2018 at 11:48 AM ^
I'm gonna go with VanSumeren - probably on special teams
August 31st, 2018 at 12:05 PM ^
Has anyone said Tru Wilson yet?
August 31st, 2018 at 12:12 PM ^
not yet, but he's a good candidate.
after all, he is just a tru freshman.
August 31st, 2018 at 12:24 PM ^
Hutchinson, Bell, Moody, Mayfield, & Gray. something like that. Of course a couple other on ST.
