Now that's just a bad faith…

Now that's just a bad faith argument. I never raised any complaints with your final sentence and you know it. You are allowed to hold that opinion and I applaud your empathy (which I admittedly lack) for Emoni given his age and life circumstances.

Listen, I would agree with…

Listen, I would agree with you if your argument had been something like:
"we were lucky enough that our stupid decisions were a product of the more stable environment we were raised in" or something to that effect. That statement implies empathy for the altered decision making process someone raised like Emoni might have. However, your statement  actually implies that you made decisions of similar magnitude, but due to a lack of spotlight, you were able to escape judgement (and of course, you cast those aspersions on the rest of us as well).

If you have a handgun for…

If you have a handgun for self defense (and aren't a felon with restricted gun rights) you would have a legally purchased gun with un-altered serial numbers. The only reason to ever posses an illegally modified handgun is if you plan on using it in the commission of a crime. So you are right, perhaps he only planned on using the "threat of murder" to commit a crime rather than actually murdering someone.

Absolutely ridiculous take…

Edit: Bad take is bad. Don't presume everyone else on here was as evil as you apparently were at 18. Most of us would not have possessed a weapon with altered serial numbers because most of us are not planning on murdering anyone. I'm scared that you think that is normal behavior for an 18 year old.

The meaning of decimated has…

The meaning of decimated has been...

more than decimated.

Yeah, I agree fully. However…

.

Did you seriously just say…

If you think he's bad at it…

If you think he's bad at it don't watch Brandon in his first few possessions each game. He's like a puppy with that excited/nervous first step, and if he picks up the travel call he's ruined for the rest of the game.

I think he could be a huge x-factor for the team if he could just sort that out (and maybe get rid of his pump fake in the mid range that keeps getting him blocked).

He is growing out of the…

He is growing out of the awkward stage that comes with getting to 6'5 in a hurry. His arm strength will be ok (probably not great, but better than a Jake Fromm).

I do have a theory on why he had so much more "zip" than the other QBs on Saturday. His hand size (and maybe less rain?) allowed him to throw the ball with more confidence and spin than Shea and Book were able to manage when the ball was wet.

I get where you are coming…

I get where you are coming from, but the fact is that there really wasn't a lot of science behind the Food Pyramid.

Basically President Eisenhower had a heart attack (likely because he was a huge smoker) and congress panicked. They saw that some guy named Ancel Keys had done "research" on heart disease that blamed saturated fats, so they asked him to make a diet for America. In reality, he had looked at many countries that had diets high in fats and eliminated all of the ones that didn't meet his hypothesis until he had like 8 countries left that "proved fats are bad". The only thing is that the countries left were also the ones that had high sugar, processed carb, and overall calorie intake, but he ignored that.

This new food pyramid diet was never tested on humans and given that we are now a hideously obese society I think it's clear that replacing fats with grains is a bad idea.

Just so you know, this…

Just so you know, this should not be the case, and the fact that it is means you likely have an intestinal microbiome that is hideously skewed towards carb-feasting bacteria, or you have a blood sugar/insulin resistance issue. You are also probably a sugar addict like most Americans (including me :[ )

So in your case (but not all cases) Intermittent Fasting or Keto seem like the best ideas. I would not trust you on a Calories In/Calories Out diet as your addiction will take over unless you have iron clad willpower and a supportive family (that also gives up sugar with you). You wouldn't tell a smoker or alcoholic to "limit" the amount or nicotine/alcohol that they have each day, you would tell them to stop entirely. Same concept here.

Y'all won't like this, but I…

Y'all won't like this, but I think the article sums it up nicely. Franz is in a totally different situation from Mo and he should probably continue to play (and practice all day every day) in Europe. If the NCAA didn't have time restrictions that go down to the "stretching minute" it would be a different story. Mo was not getting run with the main squad in Germany, so for him the exposure and time with Beilein was more beneficial.

BSJ played most of last year…

BSJ played most of last year. I wouldn't put him in the Mike McCray Zone yet. I would put him where he is, in Zordich's doghouse. Great coach, but the man does not like injured players.

At least they are (or rather…

At least they are (or rather, he is) using this thread to out themselves (himself). Thanks for making the fly trap for us.

If your posts were so bad…

If your posts were so bad that they were confused with the guy running multiple troll accounts (spoiler: they were), then maybe you deserve to be banned?

But that's exactly why…

But that's exactly why everyone admonishes these terrible posts. The posts create the cesspool that we all have to wade through. I think it's pretty easy to identify some of the worst posters, but obviously they haven't crossed the line enough for LSA to get rid of them.

Alex Jones conspiracy time: (M/O/P)SU Poster is hoping we will hurt D-Caffs feelings (as_if.gif) by jumping all over the fact that he definitely does not throw a better ball than Shea.

Brian, BSJ was on the punt…

Brian, BSJ was on the punt return team most of the year, and I don't think he got a med redshirt either. He was actually the one who got hit with the ball both times DPJ didn't get to it early in the year.

Edit: BEATEN TO THE PUNCH

In the same mold doesn't…

In the same mold doesn't mean same talent level. Tate with a stronger arm, better spin, and saner head on his shoulders is a damn good college quarterback.

And if you watch his film, yes, he is in that mold.

I've never been worried that…

I've never been worried that Jim Harbaugh would be implicated in a cheating or criminal scandal like some other rivals of ours.

However, I am deeply worried about player safety. There have been multiple interviews where Jim has referenced the sun and heat as a positive to mold the body of an individual in a workout. This attitude is both scientifically incorrect, and incredibly dangerous. Your body doesn't get stronger when it's expending all of it's energy trying to keep your brain from overheating, it just doesn't.

What scares me most is that he has made this type of comment even after he must have known all of the details surrounding McNair's tragic death.

How tall are you? Might just…

How tall are you? Might just have been a perspective thing since everyone looks tiny next to Teske and Mo.

Hahaha yes, not a perfect…

Hahaha yes, not a perfect comparison, but I would argue that the PG/Point Forward ability of Doncic is what elevates him from top 20 pick (within the Iggy realm I assume?) to top 5 pick.

So a Doncic minus primary…

So a Doncic minus primary ball-handling skills?

The problem with 10k is you…

The problem with 10k is you'll start having threads full of people like this saying "Don't have enough to start a thread, but <insert topic that is dumb or has 3 posts already on the board>"

I think everyone here has…

I think everyone here has gone a little crazy. Most boring offseason since before there was speculation on Lloyd Carr retiring.

Where'd you hear that? You got a source you're keeping from us?! <tyronebiggums.gif>

Unless you are thinking of Hawkins, MB was listed as a running back on this site as recently as the roster overanalysis post.

I'm sure it is. An increase…

I'm sure it is. An increase in working out and eating will result in his muscles storing more glycogen and water (2:1 ratio I believe) and also retaining fluids in the form of inflammation around micro-tears in the muscle fibers. That coupled with creatine = 15 lbs on a 7ish footer easily.

Beaten to the punch

I don't think Gil has made it

I don't think Gil has made it into any version of this list. It's especially funny this time because he was referenced multiple times.

While he'll never be a high

He'll never be a high level defender, but he wasn't half bad today. He was only guarding Irving for 8 (debatably 5 on a switch) of his 31 points and drew praise from the announcer for his defense on one of Irving's makes.

Being paired with Frank Ntilikina will help hide most of his weaknesses.

His effort level is far higher than it was prior to this year.

While long 2's are

While long 2's are inefficient usually, for Trey they are a necessity. He doesn't have the elite athleticism to score easily at the rim, so he charges defenders and when they back up too quickly he pulls up for the long 2.

If you watched him in Utah you know that he was shooting something like 30% around the rim and needed to adapt. This is his adaptation I guess.

Magnuson is the backup center on the 49ers as far as I know.

I know he played a fantastic

I know he played a fantastic game, and I'm excited about his future, but wtf was Tarik doing on that first interception? As a WR/RB you have to know that you are the only real hope at stopping a pick 6 (non-andrew luck/cam newton division).

The second was much more

The second was much more subtle, but he definitely did it.

Generally speaking, catching

Generally speaking, catching a kickoff is easier. Straight line speed with some patience are the best qualities to have. Punts require greater catching skill and more wiggle, with speed being more of a bonus than the #1 trait. So you often have a slot wr returning punts and a deep threat wr/speed rb returning kicks.
