247 Article on Franz Wagner
Franz Wagner (Mo’s Brother) is still considering whether he will stay in Europe playing professionally or play college ball. He would likely be part of the 2020 class and his top schools, if he plays college ball are Michigan, Stanford, and Butler
I am assuming that Franz is the taller one on the right?
"Hear me now, believe me later you girly men". Franz Wagner would be a good addition to the 2020 class. We need shooters!!
Still no points, Blue? The Mods are disappointing sometimes.
What are these points you speak of
They are mythical creatures, like football national championships prior to 2006.
I see you don't have any points either. Love the analogy. GO BLUE!!!
The voting works now, but why some people can accumulate points whereas some cannot....I couldn't tell you why. The other thing is granting points in this interface....honestly not sure if it would work if I did it. I still don't completely trust this version of the site basically.
Seth told me HUEL is looking into it for me. However that was 3 weeks ago. Must be a complicated predicament.
I haven’t had points since June. I assumed I just didn’t deserve them.
Franz's Mom has got it going on!
I can handle four more years of this pretty lady in the stands!
Wagner's mom got them thangs.
Moar schnitzengruben
15 is my limit
"Baby, please! I am not from Havana!"
I really hope Mo's mother doesn't read this blog.
Nor Mo for that matter. Why are we looking at a mother of college aged children?
Found the millennial punk!
We could also talk about a recruit without talking about his mom in this way too. It's an option!
Are creepy comments about recruits' moms no longer kosher? Damnit, now we actually have to talk sports instead of cracking jokes about a 17-year-old's family member's tits.
So were not supposed to tweet at recruits, but can we tweet at their mom?
/asking for a friend
You're in Germany, why don't you just stop by her place and stare at her through the window? For your friend, of course.
You're assuming that I already don't do that.
Post some pics, you know, for our friends.
Let me guess, you have a Barstool Sports "Saturdays are for the Boys" t-shirt, don't you?
Seriously? I mean it's one thing to allow a little voice in your head to say "that guy's mom isn't bad looking," but isn't it a bit much to actually make a public display of approving the appearance of Mrs. Wagner?
I can't understand how or why that would bother you.
Because not every girl/human appreciates random strangers on the internet commenting on their appearance and objectifying them.
Thank you, Bambi.
We're not talking about every girl/human. We're talking about Beate Wagner. How does she feel about being told she's "pretty"? Her opinion is the only one that matters.
Every girl/human doesn't appreciate random strangers talking about basketball, but you're okay doing that.
Does Brandon Johns like it when you say things like, "He's just not ready as a back up 5"? I'll bet not every man/human appreciates random strangers on the internet commenting on their basketball ability. But you're okay doing that.
Did you not say, "Fuck the fans...They're delusional and pathetic"? Does every girl/human appreciate that sentiment? I would guess no. But you're okay saying that.
Seems like you've arbitrarily drawn a line on what is acceptable internet speech.
Not every person/human appreciates random strangers on the internet telling them what is and is not acceptable on the MGoBoard. But you're okay doing that.
Thank you, Reggie.
Brandon Johns signed to play basketball for Michigan, that's the difference. It sort of comes with the territory that people are going to talk about how you play basketball. If you start talking about how Brandon Johns looks you've probably crossed the line. If you start talking about how Brandon John's sister, mother, or girlfriend look you likely crossed the line. That line is definitely arbitrary but then again so is basic decency.
Show me the part of Brandon Johns' basketball scholarship where he explicitly approves being judged on the internet. In lieu of that...
Beate Wagner agreed to be interviewed by Big Ten Network's The Journey last year. Was that her implicit authorization to judge her appearance? I would say yes. As a television personality, her appearance is fair game.
It sort of comes with the territory.
Let's stop here. I can twist these moving goalposts for days because the premise is so idiotic that there's no way to nail it down. Let's just all move on. I harbor no ill will toward anybody and think you're all beautiful...(GASP!)
you have talked me into objectifying her....
Come on man! Milfing one of our recruits' Mom is a violation of ... something.
*facepalm* This is peak RCMB. The embarrassing misogyny of mgoblog is well and alive.
Hopefully Moe is in Franz's ear letting him know of the JB difference.
Thanks for the article. I had been curious as to how his recruiting has been going. 247 said he would be a high four star prospect....yes please
I think Mo's position as an NBA player may contribute to his brother's education as well. Just a thought.
The more shooters the better. The staff has shown they can teach these guys to play D but it helps to have guys that are ready to space the floor and score.
I would be thrilled if Franz decided to play ball for JB
Y'all won't like this, but I think the article sums it up nicely. Franz is in a totally different situation from Mo and he should probably continue to play (and practice all day every day) in Europe. If the NCAA didn't have time restrictions that go down to the "stretching minute" it would be a different story. Mo was not getting run with the main squad in Germany, so for him the exposure and time with Beilein was more beneficial.
Yea, not to mention he can make money in Europe. But I think there's something to be said about the exposure that playing big time college basketball can get you. Then again, Luka Doncic did just go 3rd overall, so who knows.
As did darko!!!
/too soon?
Further, I don't think I would choose Michigan if I were Franz. He would be compared to Moritz at every turn. There isn't necessarily anything wrong with that, but I can't find the positive in it either. Franz is his own player. I would choose my own path and let people evaluate me for me.
Lets like Franz for Franz
Not because he hangs with Leonardo
Or that guy who played in "Fargo"
I think his name is Steve.
So if you had been Lavert Hill, you wouldn’t have wanted to follow Delano? Things seem to have worked out fine for both of them, and I don’t recall much discussion at all comparing the two of them.
And it worked for the Bosas and for many more. I didn't say it wouldn't work. I said I wouldn't do it if I were him.
We like all the Glasgows.
His top 3 options are Stanford, Butler, and Michigan. He likes Butler and Michigan because of their Michigan/Mo connections. He like Stanford because education. Seems like he somewhat disagrees with you.
I didn't say I wouldn't like Michigan and Butler.
