USA Hockey POSbang!

Submitted by MGoGrendel on

We can hang with them, and they can hang with us. But we won so POSbang away

Mod edit: NO SPOILER TITLES. JGB.

MGoGrendel edit:  ...but it was televised live for all to see.  Rules please, so I/we don't do this for the next hockey game.  edit#2: nevermind; I ruined it for the West Coast viewers.  Sorry!

The rule is only in effect for games that will be rebroadcast later (every game is broadcast live). As this isn't the case today, my bad. Sorry. I blew it. Enjoy the posbang, everyone.

As for rules: Me/LSA. Seth.

Normally spoilers would be frowned upon, but if you even turn on a TV or go to any online website it's all over the place. Sorry that you DVR'd the game. It happens.

Would it have been so hard to title the thread USA hockey spoiler and lose it within the thread? This is the one site I haven't avoided during the Olympics because there's, you know, a rule about spoilers. It kind of defeats the purpose if an exception is made for only the most exciting events.

What a great game! My son woke up at 6 and laid with me to watch it (almost a year old). I woke up the old lady on Kane's breakaway in the overtime, she was not happy. Gotta love 4:30 am PST start times! Big win by the Americans, gonna make the rest of the day so much sweeter!

Always a bad idea to go online if you DVRd a live sporting event.  Sorry we spoiled it, but seriously, that game was so intense it gave me a pussy riot

Let's have an official "mod ruling" on this going forward, specifically for a live hockey weekend broadcast.  I'm all in favor of spoilers for this specific event, as you couldn't go online anywhere without people going crazy about this.  I've checked 4 different regular news outlets, and it's front page of every one.  I do understand the flipside of the arguement, but I think an official ruling needs to be in place for all to be happy.

A man with an eye for details.  I thought maybe he had a cowlick that wouldn't allow for it but after reviewing some pics he does have his hair parted right to left in a few.  Thanks for ruining the film for me as this is something that I will surely never forget and point out to anyone that may be watching the movie with me.

Winning shot scored against the goalie from the Columbus Bluejackets makes it even sweeter!

Great game, all around -- and I don't think this will be the last matchup we see with these two teams...already looking forward to the rematch.

If you're really that concerned and that big of a USA hockey fan like many of us are, then you can get up at 7:30 on a Saturday to watch such a big game!

USA! USA! USA!

but, Quick made stops when needed and they got some pretty gritty play.  Olympic hockey is pretty darn good -- both teams were really bringing it today.  Latvia did not roll over against Sweden either; they made them earn it.
