This is status quo for college football.

Only reasons to watch this game now:
1) Best dejected ND fan shot
2) Miss Alabama

Now we can focus on recruiting and basketball.
If this is what glory looks like, I don't think ND wants to return there any more.

<------- No relation

thank god ND didn't join the B1G. Don't need that kind of humiliation (again - thanks buckeyes).
January 7th, 2013 at 10:41 PM ^
With that TD, Alabama has passed the 400 yard mark for total offense in this game. If anyone is interested in this stat, ND has now given up about 150% more yards than their season average.

Hmmm...yeah....

Notre Dame will not catch up to us for the all time wins % today.

Nick Saban...2nd best coach ever? :(
January 7th, 2013 at 10:46 PM ^
you are talking about active head coaches right?
January 7th, 2013 at 11:12 PM ^
No...ever. He's tied with Woody and only Bear Bryant and Yost have more national titles. Who could you possible say is better than Saban right now?

Do you feel this bad every time a football team is down 35-0, or just when it's Notre Dame?
Did your heart bleed for UMass this season?

This is pretty funny to read:
January 7th, 2013 at 10:44 PM ^
I am encouraged by what I saw from Coach Hoke in the bowl game. Michigan is not there talent wise and depth wise yet...but Coach Hoke played the game to win. This is what Saban does...not pull out stops. I think Hoke will be a similar game coach once he gets better talent to work with.

I think the odds of Kelly heading to the Bears are going up. When the ND fans start to claim that Gholson is only a freshmen and he'll improve remember what happended to Garron Gilbert. Favourite line of the night so far was Musberger saying if this were a prize fight they'd call it. Remember how everyone said if Boise or on of the other BCS busters got to the title game and gat hammered that would be their last shot? The same should go for ND.
January 7th, 2013 at 10:44 PM ^
A&M also has a 1st round pick at LT
January 7th, 2013 at 10:45 PM ^
Saban needs to start going for two.
January 7th, 2013 at 10:45 PM ^
I never got to see that Texas A&M/Alabama game, unfortunately. I was on my way back from Ann Arbor after that overtime game against Northwestern.
January 7th, 2013 at 10:46 PM ^
Looks like the refs are trying to help ND score at least one TD.
January 7th, 2013 at 10:46 PM ^
he literally only touched him..
January 7th, 2013 at 10:46 PM ^
Ugh, gift from the refs. Whatever, they're not going to save you today ND.
January 7th, 2013 at 10:47 PM ^

But seriously it shows u the power of the SEC. I cant stand that bullshit but its true they are far ahead of the rest. Meanwhile the BIG counters by adding Rutgers and Maryland
January 7th, 2013 at 10:50 PM ^
You do remember Clemson beatin LSU and Louisville stomping Florida right? Not that far a head.
January 7th, 2013 at 10:53 PM ^
January 7th, 2013 at 10:55 PM ^
Funny, because I remember LSU losing, Florida getting manhandled, and we were a sack away from beating South Carolina.
This just goes to show how far ahead Alabama is
January 7th, 2013 at 10:55 PM ^
is that Rutgers and Maryland < Texas A&M and Missouri. Say it isn't so.
January 7th, 2013 at 10:49 PM ^
Alabama 35
Refs: 7
January 7th, 2013 at 10:50 PM ^

If the head ref picks up the phone I'm sure it'll be the programming director from ESPN calling to say "thank you".
