Please, no ND in national title game.
BEAT OHIO!

I agree with you whole-heartedly. It makes me feel dirty to say so...dirty in a way that a dozen scalding hot showers won't cleanse, but still I agree with you.

discussed numerous times elsewhere.

but I am insanely pleased...

I'm more or less with you. I don't like the outlook for the MNC game, but I'll never stop rooting for the top ranked teams to lose (unless they're my teams, obviously). Ridiculous upsets late in the year are the best thing about college football.

But what if they don't? What if they play like they did at oklahoma and knock off Alabama? I've been expecting them to lose all season and they just won't do it. I don't want to live in a world where ND are national champs.
BEAT OHIO

Because someone wrote a post about college football, maybe not informative but certainly not offensive?
Heaven forbid an internet mod would ever have to deal with inchoate arguments....

This is exactly how I've felt about mid-level SEC teams for a while. They get credit for beating quality competition, but that "quality competition" is just other mid-level SEC teams. It's a vicious cycle of overrated crap.
November 18th, 2012 at 1:14 AM ^
Right. The 4-7 Indiana powerhouse that was beaten by Ball State and that gave up 62 to Wisconsin is going to beat 10-1 Florida, 10-1 Georgia, 9-2 South Carolina, and 9-2 TA&M. If you say so.

I'm assuming he didn't mean the better half of the conference.

Stanford and UCLA play this saturday. If Stanford wins, both teams will play a week later in the Pac-10 championship.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:52 PM ^
Oregon would get in over Florida, I think.

still has to go to Tallahasee next Saturday. If Florida beats FSU, I doubt Oregon is ranked ahead of them. The only chance Oregon has to beat a ranked team is Oregon St (and maybe USC if USC beats ND). Oregon's schedule is going to hurt them now.
If Florida beats FSU, they'll have beaten FSU, LSU, South Carolina and Texas A&M.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:52 PM ^
a repeat and now ND is #1. I'm numb. I can't feel my legs...

Stanford has to play UCLA next week. If Stanford loses and Oregon beats Oregon St, it'll be Oregon vs UCLA for the Pac-10 title.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:56 PM ^
Woulda been nice for Oklahoma and Stanford to drop in the polls to help Michigan get to 14 but it was not our night.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:58 PM ^
There is a way that Ohio and ND can be champions in the same year....
November 18th, 2012 at 12:18 AM ^
No, if ND beat Bama in the BCS national championship, ND would also be #1 in the AP poll.

Who knows. At this point, UCS has to be considered one of the most disappointing teams in the country based upon pre-season hype. Whether they're pissed off or have thrown in the towel remains to be seen.
Either way Monte Kiffin has turned what once was a stud USC defense into a joke.

Moo U. is the biggest joke of a team based upon pre-season hype.
November 18th, 2012 at 12:23 AM ^
Oregon is going to drop. Probably to around 5 behind ND, Bama, Georgia, and Florida.
You just cannot lost to a team like Stanford at home and expect to get the benefit of the doubt from the voters. Especially when you're going against SEC teams.
And I know Stanford is a good team. But ND beat them, and they are considered an unathletic team and started a freshman QB in his first road start.
November 18th, 2012 at 1:09 AM ^
Barkley's arm is in a sling. Doesnt matter how pissed off they are.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:59 PM ^
I'm numb. ND is number 1 lmfao. At least it makes us look good having lost 2 of our 3 games to #1&2 in the country.
With that said ND will get blasted by Bama or Georgia. Either way its another terrible watch. I miss the excitement of the USC and Texas type title games. Seems like every year or every other year they're just ass beatings.
