Noon Games Open Thread
With ND finishing off Navy, it's time to move on to the noon games. Here's what I'll be watching:
Ohio (NTO) at Penn St. - ESPN
Northwestern at Syracuse - ESPN2
Miami (NTM) at Ohio (YTO) - BTN
Western at Illinois - ESPNU

I picked NW but I really have no idea how good Syracuse is.

That clown Corso started signing Hail to the Victors and then switched over to the Bama big head. Why does he always have to pull fakes like this? No one believes it anymore. Just put on the hat

Am I the only one who's pissed off about ESPN's blackouts of ESPN 3 games this year? Can't watch any of those games online anymore.
September 1st, 2012 at 12:09 PM ^
I wasn't aware of it until now. So does that mean the Michigan game is blacked out today?
September 1st, 2012 at 12:11 PM ^
games on abc are not usually on espn3 or watchespn anyway, so you'll need to use a streaming website

It wont be an issue for me today. But it is good to know for future games.

Is this new PSU offense actually pretty good or is it just a bad OHIO defense?
September 1st, 2012 at 12:20 PM ^
OU is supposed to have their best defense (at least their D line) in a while, but their secondary is still pretty suspect. They aren't looking too good to start though. Penn St. is looking crisp in their passing game, emotions are probably running high. It will be interesting to see how the game progresses as everyone gets settled in.

First Ohio offensive possession was nothing spectacular.
(and I'm not talking about the Bobcats)

That was Matt McGloin's way of saying, "Whatever happens to me, save the ball!"
September 1st, 2012 at 12:19 PM ^
Why was it not intentional grounding?
September 1st, 2012 at 12:17 PM ^
Penn St. lookin good early, but fumbles in OU territory.

Miami has the ball in the red zone...a receiver got way open in between the safety and corner.

Miami moving the ball against Ohio.

I am both old and politically incorrect enough to say: go Redskins!

Miami in Ohio redzone

PSU offense a lot of full-field dinking and dunking ... much more fun to watch than the PSU of old.

Akron St. has had better openings to the season. That said, I still expect them to win by 20.
September 1st, 2012 at 12:21 PM ^
I'm keeping an eye on the PSU, NW, and UGA games. Oh football, how I've missed you.

Braxton still overthrowing free touchdowns..
September 1st, 2012 at 12:33 PM ^
That was probably a touchdown if the receiver got a good release though.

I have a feeling that this TE Kyle Parter is going to have a big season.

Ohio (the evil one) is not impressing me thus far. But Miami (the good one) keeps choking.

OSU's secondary has issues.
