So Denard is "Shoeski"? Well played Mr. Molk
I don't think we will find another center quite like Molk. I would be pretty interested to see what he is like off the field and/or press conference.
"Every time I see Denard on the sideline, especially after a first half that he had, I go up to him and go, 'Hey, Shoeski, we've got to have fun this half. Let's have some fun,'" Molk said. "He just smiles, we laugh and we go out and play. … That's what makes him good. When he's having fun, he's unstoppable."

Denard certainly doesn't look Polish.
October 11th, 2011 at 10:34 AM ^
What, do all Polish people look alike?
October 11th, 2011 at 10:35 AM ^
Mostly, yeah
October 11th, 2011 at 10:52 AM ^
Well I'm 1/2 Polish and I look like that. Time for a diet :)
October 11th, 2011 at 11:35 AM ^
It's a good thing you're not 100% Polish then....

Nope, we're talkin a minimum 8-peat.
October 11th, 2011 at 10:51 AM ^
Depends on the spelling, really. If it ends in "sky" instead of "ski", Denard may be Russian.
October 11th, 2011 at 11:15 AM ^
Or Ukranian.

I graduated hs in 1993 and sometimes forget that former Soviet nations are independent now. The Cold War is over, I guess I need to get new parts for my brain.

/It's a diaspora pride thing.
October 11th, 2011 at 2:53 PM ^
If Denard were Ukranian he would be Shoesko. If Romanian, Shoescu. If Bulgarian, Shoeov.

I think Denard has plenty of polish, and lots of pizazz. Yeah I can see this Shoeski thing working up. Imagine some team's defense trying to catch Denard using snowshoes while Denard is way out in front on skis cruising at unheard of speeds.

Conversely, when he's unstoppable, he's having fun. Chicken or egg?
October 11th, 2011 at 10:40 AM ^
Sorry, I post a lot of video clips because I think (and often times speak) only in movie quotes. My life is sad.
October 11th, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
Well when you take the converse of a universal affirmative statement(All times he is having fun are times he is unstoppable to All times he is unstoppable are times he is having fun) the truth value is undetermined. So you can't really make your statement as fact just because the first one is true

I honestly love this team. I know they've had their struggles on the field over the last 4 years, but, as Brian has said on numerous occasions, this is one of the most "rootable" teams in college football.

How are we supposed to have Dr. Pepper on the sidelines for Molk to give to Shoeski under the premise that they're all gonna have a real good time?
