|2 days 19 hours ago||But Harbaugh has the||
This, combined with all the recruits' evaluations of this staff as "genuine", is why Jim will always be ahead of the curve when it comes to recruiting. Other coaches may try to copy SOTS or climb a tree for a kid's sister, but it will come across as fake. Our coach is genuinely a little crazy, and I love him for it!

Someone at 247 is either really incompetent or they are trolling me so hard. They've put up the wrong team for at least ten guys I've seen in their commit list. They have Nordin to Baylor right now, but when you click on his profile it's correct to us. Those guys are really pushing my buttons today!!

Serious question (paging WD), has anyone ever played both ways on the line? That would take some incredible conditioning.

It's not a party until Harbaugh gets Judge Judy.
|1 week 3 days ago||I was too. I looked him up||
I was too. I looked him up and that's Ethan O'Conner. He's LCC's starting QB and also has a baseball profile online (SS/RHP). Basketball must be his "weak" sport. Unless there's more than one highly athletic O'Conner family at that school, he'd be MSU QB Tyler O'Conner's younger brother (in your eyehole, Sparty!!). He's listed at 6'2" or 6'3", so that makes Xavier's shot even more impressive.
Edit: He also has a basketball bio on Maxpreps. Good athlete.
|1 week 3 days ago||Great shot.||
I was watching this when a Buckeye fan coworker walked into my office. I said "there's another Ohio guy Matta couldn't bother recruiting." He just turned around and walked out. For some perspective on the magnitude of the game, Lima Senior (12-0) is #2 in DI (largest in Ohio) and LCC (15-1) is/was #1 in DIII as of Jan 25th. My untrained opinion is that X has to be in the discussion for Mr. Basketball Ohio this year.

I didn't put the years together. I guess it's my subconscious mind trying to make the best of this situation.
Edit: Or this means that it is a pattern and Jim is leaving for the NFL. Commence panic. Oakland is still in play.

This may have been covered, but there are sooooo many comments to wade through. I've read this post about the decommits of Harbaugh's first class at Stanford in 2010. Does anyone know if the recruit carousel continued in 2011 and 2012? If not, maybe Harbaugh has an intentional pattern. He fills his first class early on, as he did here at Michigan (I know this is technically his second class but he was here for what, a month before signing day last year), and then restructures it as he is able to build stronger relationships with "better" recruits. His subsequent classes are much more stable because he has had time to establish relationships with those recruits. Maybe we're freaking out about something that will be a one time problem.

I like the comment asking Harbaugh if he's sure he wasn't the guy's middle school gym teacher in VA. Harbaugh as a gym teacher would be frightening.

|2 weeks 3 days ago||I feel bad for the kid. He||
I feel bad for the kid. He obviously loves Michigan and has been classy through the process. I'm also hoping he was told in November when Enis and Weaver were told to start looking around. Maybe Swenson wasn't getting the hint and now the staff needed to reinforce the message that he would not get playing time here. Who knows for sure. This seems so un-Harbaugh-like to tell a kid that he can't come and compete when Jim is such a competitor. I hate that the term "pulled" scholarship is being thrown around as he just says the situation changed. We don't know what happened and may never know the real story.

My dad had a 1949 Willys Overland project that I loved growing up. He traded it when I was in Jr High for a late '70s AMF Harley FLH sidecar rig. Wish he still had the truck. He still has a 1954 Chevy panel truck that's about 95 percent redone that I'd love to have. It's been on the road a handful of times in my lifetime. My dad has a lot of cool cars/motorcycles that I'd love to borrow!

I can't believe I'm going to defend the SEC but here goes. Don't they have around half the number of scholarship sports available as compared to the Big 10 and other conferences? Just sayin.

|4 weeks 3 days ago||I don't know the exact||
I don't know the exact problem in this case but I work in the water industry in Ohio. Here, most of the lead in our supply system is located in "goosenecks" and leaded fittings. A lead gooseneck was used to attach an old galvanized service to the water main because you can't bend iron pipe. Before mechanical joint (MJ) fittings became popular, leaded fittings, mostly tees, were sealed with strips of lead pounded into place.
We have an active program to replace all of our old galvanized services with copper. The service material can easily be checked by digging out around the curb shutoff valve to verify the material and then the service is scheduled for replacement. The problem is that only takes care of the "city side". The property owner is responsible for their side of the service. Most people, especially landlords, don't want to bother with the expense until they have a problem with the line.

It may be getting old, but the guy went from forced retirement from almost having a heart attack/nervous breakdown at Florida to coaching Ohio State in a year. Then all the stories started surfacing about what a dumpster fire Florida was when he left. That is lame and deserves to be ridiculed.
