Rich Rod Spotted in Oklahoma Polo
So, Detroit News (not THAT Detroit news) is reporting that Rich Rod was spotted in an Oklahoma polo.
Apparently he's been visiting spring workouts in Norman, OK.
Do anything for anyone? Not sure if it does for me, but I thought it was a curious bit.
A search and quick scan of the first 2 pages turned up no results on this, so I cautiously posted.

Watch Oklahoma win three National Championships now.
Dude could win anywhere. Oh, wait.....
why the negs? LMFAO, rubbing the noses of supporters of that debacle will just never, ever, ever, ever get old. I just remember all the hate for anyone that pointed out he wasn't perfect.
never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever. Let the restoration begin. Go Blue!

for you.
It know in the past they would share info so I thinks thier is nothing to see here.
He has an offensive coordinator and RR's run-first style isn't a great fit for Stoops teams. More likely, a coach keeping his name out there and staying plugged in.
The man has to wear something!
Eh it's probably just a visit to get new ideas now that Rich has time. Coaches share ideas pretty routinely. If I'm not mistaken, OU went to the no huddle and scored over 60pts a game the season after Stoops visited RR at WVU. In the same light, RR took some notes from Stoops on how to use tight ends.
Oklahoma does run a version of the spread. and RR did share ideas with them back when he was pioneer instead of a pariah. It's always good to keep a high profile; in today's climate, you never know what job might be opening up.
He is teaching stoops the 3-3-5

<br>I wish this was funny

thought it was. An ineffective +1 to you.
Journalism at its finest. A 3 para article based on a tweet.
As far as RR, I'm happy that 1) he's landing on his feet and 2) he's not in A2. He might be able to do some damage in the conference that was the B12.
Go Blue.
Roster consultant and Stoops is worried they need to load up on dinky slot receivers?
He got hte shirt for free, and since he doesn't have a job, he's gotta take those freebies when he can get them.
Maybe word has gotten to Stoops that there may be an opeing in Columbus in the near- to mid-future and he wants to line up his successor under the radar. RR is an Offensive genius that needs the right staff around him to ultimately succeed. Namely, a DC that has his own mind and doesn't knuckle under to a HC that thinks he understands defense.

You do realize that he picked his own staff here? You can't make staff excuses for a guy who had full discretion over who to surround himself with.

No way in hell OSU wants RR on staff. Their opponents staff YES, but not there own.
ever ever ever ever gonna get old. anybody honestly think RR could hire onto the OSU staff. The Buckeye Nation would go friggin' nuts.

I think you guys are on crazy pills. Even as an OC with some additional talent, he'd need to adjust his 5 play, 2 formation, flag football play book...which he showed he was unwilling to do here. It was a novelty when he first came out with it, but look at Oregon, whose offense most closely resembles a RichRod spread. They use every formation conceivable, run guys in motion every play, and rarely use their QB to run.

I love it becauseCoachRod will have the last laugh... I just pray to God for the sake of all the michigan man faithful is that Coach Hokey Poke turns this program back into the michigan way... I will predict the first meltdown this board will have over the hokey poke hire will be against notre dame when we struggle against a team we beat two years in a row

so you can predict the future? you sure as hell apparetnly aren't much good at history. dude was the worst coach UM EVER had, simply look at the stats. I know, I know, if we only would have given him another 10 years he could have turned that defensive thing around. What a joke. LMFAO!!!
You realize you're being nothing more than annoying and trollish right?
I would bet that half those negs are from people who agree that RR should be gone and are just sick of your stupid shit on this thread.
i don't care what you think. i've spent a number of years among the All In thug crowd. independent thinking was disallowed. it feels great to get UM back. if that makes me a troll, at least I'm a blue troll.
Nobody said you weren't Blue. I told you that you were trolling for reactions.
Also, I don't care what you think. If you had a thought in your head other than "OMG RR sux lol" then maybe someone would listen to you. From what I've read of your comments, that's about the extent of your thoughts (and it looks like just about everyone here feels the same way).
Come back some other time with something productive to add or something interesting or funny to say. Until then, please stop trolling the boards, trying to start flame wars. Most of us are here to have a good time and learn a thing or two; not listen to mindless drivel.

COACH HOKE CAME HERE AND HE'S GOING TO WASTE ALL RICHROD'S TALENT. MANBALL ALL THE WAY WITH DENARD ROBINSON. WATCH HOKE PARTAKE IN HIS FAVORITE ACTIVITY!!!!!!
We beat ND two years in a row when they had a garbage coach, then when they had a first year coach installing a completely new system. I have a feeling ND is gonna be a tough tough team this year. I'm a RR fan as much as anyone but it's time to move on. Hokey poke?
I hope that doesnt happen especially if crist and floyd dont play, it will be bad on here

His "flag football" playbook created a top 10 offense. I'll take that every year, thanks. His problem was not knowing anything about defense or hiring a competent DC.
Just give it up; you're not going to convince people like that.
Alright, this comment really shows how little you know. Oregon has one of the smallest playbooks in the nation. ESPN even had a segment on that one time. Like all zone read type offenses, the diversity of the plays depend the reads. And their QB didn't run because they have heisman type running back and a QB who is not Denard nor Pat White. The only thing I think we can agree on was the RR's play calling last year was uninspired.
I suppose the difference between Oregon and U of M could be explained via upper classmen vs. underclassmen as starters. But assuming that's out of bounds from consideration, look at what his teams did at his other HC gigs. He'll bounce back.
But some of these thread posts look to be straight outta the FreePress.com comments pages.

I think he was so sad about losing kenny stills last year that he went and followed him. JK but its good to see RR out. He will end up somewhere soon and probably do very well.

It doesn't matter. It's in the past.
We hired the guy. He is a good coach. He didn't work out here. Let's not be that fan base who says that our prom date was an ugly bitch just because we couldn't get to second base with her, but then obscesses over everything she does and every guy we see her eating lunch with.
LET IT GO GODDAMNIT.

we don't talk about coaches who don't coach at michigan. wait, or is it; we only talk about coaches who coach for michigan. I forget.

They should have an article about this girl wearing a Oklahoma shirt, not RR. I'd rather see a picture of her, but that's just my opinion.

In a related note, I saw Steve Fisher the other night wearing a San Diego State shirt. I was going to post about it but nobody gives a shit, just like in this case.
Apparently you gave enough of a shit to click the link in the thread and take the time to post a reply.
I sincerely apologized that YOU clicked a thread that YOU don't care about.
not oklahoma but if the ncaa starts wondering how dabo pulled off that recruiting class with a 6-6 record or he goes 6-6 again I think RR woud be an amazing fit at clemson, with that talent he would kill the ACC
