Would Jim Harbaugh watch the 49ers game this coming Sunday from the Ravens sideline?

Submitted by mGrowOld on

How freaking awesome would that be to watch?  Jim on the Ravens sideline this Sunday in Santa Clara San Francisco Baltimore, next to his brother, as they play the 49ers?  That would be nuclear trolling of Jed York & company althought I'm sure he'd get the cold shoulder from his ex-players cause they hate him so.  To be fair Kawakami later tweeted he doesnt think that will happen but he said the 49ers are very afraid it might.

I know we took some shots at Kawakami during the search (and he deserved many of them) but I can tell you he's definitely one of Harbaugh's biggest supporters and is relentless in his attacks on the 49er executive management for letting him go.

I'd imagine John Harbaugh will request sideline passes for unnamed family members. And 49ers mgmt will sweat about it all game long.

How do bye weeks normally work? Do players/coaches begin with a break (Sunday, Monday) or continue business as usual until the following weekend to take a break?

I suppose if it's the former it's plausible for JH to be at the game.

Yep, the only indication he's given with regard to that situation is that he wants to leave it in the past and move on.  I imagine it was probably pretty difficult to care about your work and be doing a good job yet still be bullied and have your name publicly smeared by the organization you work for, and he probably doesn't want to mentally revisist that.

But a lot of them arent.  I just checked and about half their active roster never played a down for him.  So he would be standing next to his brother watching the guys who ran him out of town listen to the crowd roar whenever the camera panned to him and watch the players who supposidely didnt like him give him hugs after the game.

I don't know the guy at all, but this doesn't seem like something he would care about. I'm sure he dislikes York and Baalke, but I don't see him putting that ahead of his support for guys that he went into battle with for 3 years. Don't forget, Tomsula was a guy he hired as well. Being on the other sideline would be a very bad look. Anything is possible. Lloyd sat in the Iowa box, after all. But I don't see it happening, and I would be disappointed if it did.

STRONG rumors that the guy undermining Harbaugh last year with York was Tomsula so not sure Jim cares too much about upsetting him.

Look - I get it why he probably shouldnt and most likely won't.  But man do I think it would be awesome if he did.  Cause the 49er fans would cheer him relentlesly andt he players would be giving him hugs and York & Balke would have to watch it all with absolutely nothing they could do about it.

Hadn't heard that about Tomsula. If true, yuck. The other problem is that while the players love him today, they might not love him if he showed up on Sunday. Anything that could be perceived as a slight probably will. Lotta testosterone in this business.

I think if true, hilarious. There's nothing more humbling (humiliating?) than facilitating someone's overthrow for your own benefit, then failing miserably at your newfound lofty position. Think Commodus in Gladiator. Joaquin Phoenix was just detestable.

even if Coach Harbaugh were sitting in a luxury box, they could give him coverage as if he were Jessica Simpson on Turkey Day...well, all except for the loss of course.

Perhaps Harbaugh has a bit of a personal beef with 49ers management, but I imagine he is still friendly with most of the players and staff. If he went, I can't imagine it would be for purposes of trolling.
