anyway, are you going to see it?  Any other recent or expected movies you’re pumped about?

Collective thank you guys for your well wishes.  We are likely to be out of the woods for the night, but as so many of you have gone through, we are just buying time.  He’s such an exceptional man.  Tough stuff.

Home with a really nasty bout of COVID and I came across the original on Netflix and I watched it for the first time in maybe 15 years or so. Saw an ad for the new one and I had no idea it was in production. I will probably go see it once I'm cleared. Despite being in my 40s, fighter jets never stop being cool.

My father subscribes me to Mens Health magazine. This month's edition has stories on 3 of Maverick's new stars. Cruise is a Top Gun Instructor now, and the 3 gents are pilots. That alone will make me watch.

I went on my first real "date" to see this movie with a childhood friend named Brenda.

I can't remember where we went for dinner but I do remember my mom telling me right before I left "don't lick your knife". We saw Top Gun on the opening weekend at the old Quo Vadis theater on Wayne Rd. in Westland.

As far as hooking up at the end of the night? That's a negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.... :(

Anyway, I hope all goes well for you and your Grandfather, XM.

• "Does this top work with these slacks?"

• One of my favorites, Topps gum.

• "Sorry, you're not finding out until you buy me dinner."

Saw it last night. Definitely has some horror movie elements (Sam Raimi) suitable for a Halloween movie - the main villain is a witch, so... There's a couple of jump scares and lots of shrieking skeleton type things. A zombie like character with half his face blown off. There's violence, like NPC types being burned to cinders by baddies, quite a few characters die in battle. There's light swearing as well. I have no idea if it's appropriate for your kid though.

Sorry to hear about your grandpa, here's hoping that he makes a full recovery.  I am thinking the new top medical professionals in your city should be helping him out in his journey towards overtaking ass-ignations in hospital beds.
