Response to the NCAA needs to be F*CK YOU and loud!

We all know the absurdity and arbitrary nature of the NCAA - picking and choosing battles of minutia and looking the other way on legit criminal activity. I could do an entire grad thesis on the hypocrisy and malfeasance.

That said, Ward Manuel and Jim Harbaugh need go full court press, burn it down PR campaign in regards to this bs.

Call out the SEC bullshit and years of "bagging" on ESPN Jim

This hit job is absurd and I can't even imagine the frustration of Jim and staff given the shit they know and hear about that goes on in recruiting, and UM gets dragged through the mud - absolute joke.

Time to fight back.

Said the same. Mock them openly. Let it be known that while programs are giving kids multimillion dollar inducements and tampering via the portal in ways that would cost an NFL team draft picks, this dead organization wants to issue a Level 1 over a hamburger.

Scream it from the mountain tops. Never stop pointing it out and mocking it. Delay, deny and mock. They will back down because they will lose the battle of public opinion. The only people on their side will be the "he shouldn't have skipped up the tunnel" types. Every rational CFB fan will be on your side.

I have a feeling this is almost precisely what Jim said to warrant their charge of "not cooperating."

Something to the effect of, "A&M just offered those kids $1M and you're giving me grief over a burger. Fuck off."

I also want to add: how can anybody with a straight face criticize Harbaugh for 2020 when he wasn't even legally allowed to  coach guys practice over Zoom?

Is the report out?  I think the NCAA is probably full of it, but we can't know for sure until we see the report.

The leaks suggest that the NCAA thinks Harbaugh lied to them during the investigation. I seriously doubt it, but we haven't seen the evidence, so nobody but Harbaugh knows right now.

Edited to add: I just read the other threads, and I guess the rumor is that Harbaugh bought two burgers at the Brown Jug for recruits, and the NCAA thinks he lied about it? If true, I want to see the evidence that he lied vs he honestly never thought about it when they were questioning him.

Will agree.  Harbaugh is honest to a fault - it's a big reason why people hate him, because he speaks honestly and it pisses people off.  All the twitter crap we laughed at, the camp issues, the international trips, the sniping responses to others coaches tweets...  I'll believe Harbaugh before I believe the NCAA.

BTW, if this is the reason that he's looking at the NFL after saying he was done with that, then everything I said about him losing that trust is thrown out.  I take it all back.  If this is why he's looking for an out, it's entirely justified.

Just fuck the NCAA.

If Michigan has any evidence, even circumstantial against other schools I hope they empty the notebook. “We’ll suspend Jim Harbaugh for games as soon as you look into XYZ”.

Obviously, the NCAA can eat my ass, but if we could somehow parlay this into a 2-game suspension for whichever coach put the Philly Special into our playbook, I wouldn't entirely hate that.
