The Michigan football team will not soar above the haters until THE KNOWLEDGE returns

Not that I'm endorsing this post, but I have to point out that - if I recall correctly -  THE_KNOWLEDGE did not have foresight. Instead, he traveled into the future, gazed back upon the season, and the returned to our timeline to share the (almost always) positive news.

I'm sure he hasn't offered his prognostications because he knew of the misery that would ensue and couldn't bring himself to be the messenger of bad tidings.

I ain't gonna pretend to be anyone else but I saw this coming, and if I did, I refuse to believe I was the only one.

Black Preview of Negative Expectations, 8/30:

Young QBs do not wash out of the NFL because of athleticism.  Tom Brady and Drew Brees are not locks for the HoF because they are built like prototypical QBs, or we'd really be talking about Drew Henson and Ryan Leaf.  No, if a QB hits a wall it's because they can't grow out of bad habits.  And while Shea is a good QB, he has bad habits.  In particular, he struggles to read zone defenses and that's not something QBs get better at overnight, if ever.

Gattis shows promise but his record as an OC is zero.  There's ample evidence to show his plays are effective but we don't know what he's like calling the shots in adversity.  Even the best have been known to crumple in games, so this is an unknown that should've been talked about more.

Me again, on 9/20:

It's not the fumbles; it's that going back to last year, they're still taking the path of most resistance.  Michigan has fewer athletes than Ohio State and isn't using the ones it has.  The guys that need to get better, aren't, and clear opportunities aren't being taken by the playcalls.

OTOH, if Michigan validates everyone's fears that they're going to do things the hard way in the flying face of all reason, avoid favorable matchups, send their players at brick walls and not prepare any answers for what opponents are preparing for them, no one's really going to care about the outcome of this game.  Losing to Wisconsin on the road isn't what's going to send the boards into a tailspin.  I mean, that won't be fun, but the worst is knowing Ohio State -- which hasn't seemed to have missed a beat since destroying us last season -- will devour Michigan with plenty of room for dessert.

Yes.

Glad that someone else has realized this.

No Knowledge season review before the season started was troubling at first, and no we've moved to full blown panic.

Might not even be able to soar above the hatters.
