Warde should have been gone…

Warde should have been gone long ago. Of course, he should still be gone. But I'm afraid he's done enough damage where it now doesn't matter when he's fired; assuming he will be.

Warde should have been gone long ago. I think it's too late, to be honest.

Anyone find it odd we heard…

Anyone find it odd we heard basically nothing from Warde during signgate, but we hear from Ono, lawyers, SEVERAL other members of the Michigan community including trustees? He absolutely should release a statement regarding Coach Howard, but why not much regarding Harbaugh when the entire University looked at it as an attack..? Can't figure this dude out.

Warde gotta go.

Warde gotta go.

I think the most…

I think the most consequential matchup is Minter V. Rees.

I'm not sure who it was, but…

I'm not sure who it was, but someone on Michigan's return team just as Semaj was getting into the open field was attempting to block Entinger. Instead of impeding him, he looked like he got a boost from the push from the back from the Michigan blocker. If you go back and watch it again you'll notice. Not taking anything away from Entinger.

I really do think that…

I really do think that people are underestimating the amount of pressure Ryan Day is feeling. I think now he is thinking he HAS to win since Harbaugh is not there. Lord knows the amount of shit he will take if he loses again. He's going back to Ann Arbor this year where his previous 2 teams have been far more talented than this year's team.

I said the same thing about Penn st. Harbaugh isn't there, but that just adds pressure to Franklin knowing he can lose to an interim, and he coaches tight and we beat his ass.

Day is going against a mightily motivated Michigan team with an outstanding defense, the same RBs that trashed him last year + Corum and a much better passing attack with more developed weapons. Not to mention home-field advantage. I truly think Day is in football hell and each day he's thinking he and his team have to be perfect to beat Michigan and they will coach and play tight while Michigan will not be and that will be the difference again this year.

I don't share a lot of doom and gloom as others in terms of the osu game because I believe in the team since we are a player led team with a ton of experience.

Going to take my family to the Lafayette game at 12:30. Patriot league/ Ivy League football isn't great but my kids will love it And it gets them out of the house. Great weather  this weekend too. Should be back in time for some 3:30 start games.

I work at Lafayette. We play Lehigh tomorrow. Both teams stink. Both have a hard time scoring. But Lafayette is on the come up. Freezing temps for the game tomorrow. I'm taking Lafayette -5 and the under. Other than that...I think Illinois covers the -17.5. And UCLA ML.

My wife is phenomenal. Very little interest in sport but understands my love for Michigan. She hopes they win and enjoys watching big games with me. We'll be married 7 years on 11/6 and we started dating right before the Capital One Bowl in 08 against Florida. Her first introduction to Michigan was the darkest of days with RR, so she's been enjoying Michigan's latest successes, albeit marginally. :)

She's the best.

I truly don't think this is…

I truly don't think this is about COVID. Members of Pac 12 and Big 10 schools were wise in knowing that they have leverage in this situation. If you remember, Pac 12 football teams were threatening to sit out if their demands weren't met. This got many talking about the possibility of paying players( I actually think being paid was one of their demands but I could be wrong), and unionizing, which would be the end of amateur college football as we know it. Big 10 football players soon followed after understanding their leverage in the situation and wanted to protect themselves by issuing a wish list if a season were to begin.

In my opinion, the Pac12 and Big10 took the ball out of players hands and cancelled before they were able to mobilize any further. This explains why it was only those 2 conferences of the Power 5 to cancel the seson. The cancelling of the season is buying the conferences time to form a strategy if this arises again; which it will. If it weren't for Pac and BIG students showing a collective concern bout their health, I think we would have BIG and P12 football.

There is a minimum amount to endow a scholarship/head coaching position to initially create the fund. At my institution it’s $100K.. usually payable over 5 years. The fund is then invested with the university endowment and usually returns 4-5% (For my institution)... that percentage is used for the scholarship/coaching positions.

once the fund is created, people can continue to add funds to it as they please. It’s usually funded continually through family foundation, etc.

With the suspension of the XFL, the WWE was in more trouble than Vince McMahon would care to admit. VM needed $500M cash for XFL, so he sold WWE shares to do it.

WWE is already losing $ due to COVID19 and if they shutdown their fan-less shows, they’d be in danger of losing their tv contract(if I recall correctly). If they lost their tv contract with USA or FOX, WWE would be in serious trouble. The WWE was way more involved with the XFL than anyone, including investors, thought.

Right in my wheelhouse

This topic is right in my wheel-house. I've trended to these types of movies because horror movies are not very scary to me. What I've found with disturbing movies is that they are not necessarilyscary, but they tap into a different part of ones mind. I watch these movies because they do expand your mind and I am an extraordinarily curious person as to why people make these movies. Irreversible, I Stand Alone, Enter the Void are all good movies if you're interested in that sort of film.

Also, a movie called  "A Serbian Film". I refuse to watch it. Google it at your own peril. Or dont...probobaly better if you don't..

Offense

I think this team inadvertently revealed itself as being much more effective as a pass first team. Okorn made quick decisions, TEs were very reliable and the RB’s were effective when the D loosened up. The Oline wasn’t asked to block for too long and okorn made plays with his feet. I think there’s much more potential for Evans out of the backfield with this attack. That is, if the coaching staff isn’t too stubborn to air it out a bit.

Offense

I think our offense revealed a bit obout themselves with the tour drive that put them up 14-10. In a good way. We know Harbaugh wants to run first, but that last drive looked a bit like a modified West-Coast offense. The TE’s and Evans were very effective with those crossing routes and the line protected better because hey weren’t asked to protect for long. Pass first might be the way to go.

Northeast Liberal Arts

Has he looked into some of the prestigious liberal arts colleges out here in the east coast? Granted, these sorts of schools are not a fit for everyone, but the graduates from Williams College, Bowdoin, Amherst, et al are the same students that applied and accepted into the Ivies, Stanford, University of Chicago, and Michigan.

I'm sure he knows what he wants but I work for an elite liberal arts college and feel like they can hidden treasures for some prospective students.
