Rashan Gary at Pizza House

Submitted by BeantownBlue on

I just ran into Rashan Gary, Drew Singleton, and a couple Paramus Catholic coaches at Pizza House.  Told 'em we love players from New Jersey and that Paramus has been good to us so far  (they laughed).  Said I thought they'd find Ann Arbor to be a good place to spend their college years, they said they agreed.

Feel free to delete this if this doesn't add enough to the discussion.  I'm only posting because I was not aware that Gary was in town on an unofficial and thought folks might find that to be positive news.  If it is common knowledge he's in town, you may also feel free to delete!

Ok, I'm gonna go ahead and say it: Chipotis were the most overated thing I ever did in Ann Arbor. Its a 10 lb salad with a pita bread and not nearly enough dressing on the side. However, the feta bread at Pizza House is legit.

Because high school students really like that. You could have helped yourself to a slice and given them some advice, like "Rashan, if you're going to have a crew, you need to get yourself a fall guy. And he needs to be a consensus two-star, at most."

You always read about players after their Michigan visit saying that people knew their names and told them to come to Michigan and stuff like that. I think they seem to like that and I don't think OP did anything different really.

Can this turn into a best pizza in AA thread? I've had pizza house and happy's (I've heard that people hate happy's?) I thought both were pretty solid but there was probably better out there.

I come up for 2-3 games a year and pizza is the meal of choice before the game

Anthony's deep dish.  From the place on Main Street, north of the stadium.  Heard it's not as good from their Maple Rd location.
BTW, it's a take-out kinda place.  Not a sit, quaff, eat & watch establishment.

I was eating at Pizza House before the the semester in 2011 with my parents when the entire Western MI football team came in. Was pretty neat since I grew up about 30 mins from Kzoo and Cubit used to do a football camp at my HS in the summer. It was pretty fun participating, I was pretty good but def not a D1 recruit. You could tell who the recruits were as they'd be videotaped etc...

Does anyone remember when Pizza House was just a frame shack? My roommate worked there and brought home all the chipati bread that wasn't quite good enough to sell. We pretty much lived on that for a year.
