Like Mayweather vs Conor. We were never going to lose even though we got hit in the first few rounds. Michigan wore out its opponent and knocked them out, winning easily.

Thought he would only bitch about the officiating, but gave credit was credit was due. Needs to tell his football  team to stop trying to play dirty and injure guys though.

Our defense is soooo good. They emptied the RPS war chest in one drive to get a TD. Michigan adjusted and it was over. And he might have a point about being too confident. Feels like they were too wound up--excitement is good, but those penalties were legit and might have come from having too much emotion invested in the game.

They were definitely too confident. They obviously went into this game expecting not just to win but to whoop Michigan. When it became clear that wasn't gonna happen they completely unraveled. Even their senior leaders couldn't keep their cool.

Michigan outgained Purdue 423 to 189 with 0 converted third downs by Purdue. If anything the score is not reflective of the game because M should have won by more. Yeah Purdue looked competent, almost good even. They also ran their mouths before the game and got put in their place. I gave credit where it was due. Purdue ate some humble pie.

Look...for Purdue, your baseline is shit. You've been horrible in every scheme of the game for a decade. Now, you've got a new coach who is installing a new attitude and - frankly - looked like a better team for 2.5 quarters. Purdue's defense was stout for some time, and - while gimmiky - their offense moved the ball a few drives. That would NOT have happened a few years ago. It's okay to give credit where credit is due. For an entirely outmatched team, Purdue looked good until the 4th (on one side of the ball).

Gimmick plays are a staple of his offense.  Keeps the players energized and having fun.  The difference is that Purdue is a B1G team not a C-USA team.  They're going to get a lot more respect than WKU did just because they're a B1G team.  Good to see Michigan stay disciplined, when WKU played "the big boys" those defenses were more focused on crushing our players and would bite on the fakes.

But the score reflected the game...after the first half Michigan did adjust both on O and D and completely dominated Purdue.  21-0 after the break I would take just about every single game and 0-fer on 3rd downs and I believe 1 yd in the second half.

The O in the first half made it almost unbearable, completely different game in the second half.

That backup QB played better than the starter had all season.

But yes, they were pretty bad (except for one drive) and dirty as hell....makes me think there needs to be additional punitive measures for repeated targetings by a team, up to and including an immediate forfeit.

What did that loudmouth Receiver that was so sure they'd rout us, and was upset about not playing OSU this year, say?   Thats the post game comment i want to hear.
