Pick the Score-Michigan vs UConn

Submitted by Speed_in_Space on September 15th, 2022 at 1:14 PM

Alright, ladies and gentlemen of MGoBoard, we are two days out from gameday and JJ’s second start of the year. What is your predictions for the outcome of this game?

Going Michigan 49, UConn 10. Predicting another solid performance from JJ and the only reason the score isn’t higher is Harbaugh puts in the backups by the third or fourth quarter. UConn isn’t very intimidating offensively or defensively, but it should give us some more reps to get ready for Big Ten play.

Bonus: What is your upset of the week?

Picking Washington over Sparty 28-21. Michael Penix at QB should test the MSU secondary and I trust the guy that carved up Ohio State’s secondary in 2020 more than Thorne. Also MSU faces their first road game of the season. If the O-Line can give Penix time to throw, I believe they will beat Sparty.

I have 62-7 only because as a Michigan beat-writer (can't remember who) tweeted, I bet the starters get left in a little longer this time around as this is the final tune-up before B1G play begins.

49-10

Picking Washington isn’t an upset, they’re 3.5 point favorites. I put money on the MSU moneyline. It’s a win-win for me; either I win money at good odds if they win or I get to enjoy the schadenfreude if they lose.

Michigan 44 UConn 8. No rhyme or reason but I'm bringing my 87 year old dad and 16 year old son to the game and in recent years when I attend in person it gets weird somehow.

Upset of the week: Iowa will actually score at least 2 TDs against Nevada in their evening 'showdown' at Kinnick. And Nevada will keep the game surprisingly competitive into the second half before the Hawks pull away.

I'm afraid that we have a classic Lloyd game in us: 34-13 but closer than that. Everyone will panic.

Meanwhile, MSU will eek out a win on the road against Washington and the Freep/News headlines will be "MSU CONTINUES TO MOVE UP THE POLLS!!; MICHIGAN SURVIVES ANOTHER OVERMATCHED OPPONENT" and Valenti will demand that MSU leapfrog Michigan.

Going to pick 350-0 every week until it happens.

Auburn over Penn State.  Sure, PSU is only favored by 3 and Auburn is down this year, but I have confidence that Frames can find a way to lose.

i would happily take a clunky 37-14 type game if it means msu and psu both lose. sadly, i dont see any of those 3 things happening.

60-13

I think our 2nd string D gets even more time because of how poorly they showed out last week. They need reps

59-14

starters out by start of 4th

JJ lights it up again ... Sept Heisman

Cade looks better much late 2nd quarter and third quarter ... leads a TD drive or two

Warren impresses .... again

defense lets in a stupid TD play somewhere ... 4th stringers give up a TD

Washington beats Sparty 38-30

ND beats the pants off of Cal to give Freeman his first win of the season (God i hope i'm wrong, to hell with ND and Roll On You Bears)

Bad QB = CSU pt 2

M 61-11

Upset of the week- after Texas had a brief BACK moment last week, they lose to UTSA this week and it all comes crashing back to earth. Also Nevada beats Iowa and Liberty beats Wake
