Peppers taking reps on offense, knows playbook
Mods delete if this is common knowledge. I received a text from a current player saying, "He (Peppers) was taking reps at slot during player led practice, knew all the plays. He wouldn't know all the plays unless he was told to do so... So take that however you want".
This was exciting for me to hear, gave me a whole Woodson vibe. Again, if this is already known and i'm late to the party please don't harass me too much and mods delete.
Mark my word, he'll be your 2016 Heisman Trophy winner.
...people will find this thread and be amazed at all the comments not even related to Peppers. The newbies will wonder "WTF is Wolverine Devotee and why does he have his own logo?"
More Peppers is good Peppers.
I was thinking about a formation with 11 Pepperses (Pepperss, Peppersi, Pepperseses?) lined up at every position on the field. Or driving the Chicago Bears team bus to victory at the Indy 500.
but is that the right shade of blue (0-76-39)?
I mixed it up, it's actually 0-39-76.
0-76-39 looks like EMU green.
why aren't the stems maize? pffft...traitor
punch this gif so hard in the face
The wife's "People" says he is a fat again. Thank God. That little bugger was strange when he wasn't fat.
This is most definitely not common knowledge!
Our offense needs that Peppy Pep. I love this idea--seems very Harbaughian since he showed the willingness to get guys playing on both sides of the ball at Stanford. And we do have an unfortunate lack of explosive skill position players at wr. Go out and get that Heisman, kid!
Don't do that.
Peppy Pep is his twitter handle.
Well... um... hey, look over there!
/scampers away
Your objection should've been to my use of the phrase "Harbaughian." Even I've got to admit that I committed a crime against language there.
Or Harbaughesque.
Clearly.
as much as reasonably possible. I thought special teams (returning kicks) would be the most logical in addition to safety. But, heck, slot receiver works too. Even if they put him in on offensive plays and he doesn't get the ball, he can be a real asset as a diversion. Defenses will have to adjust and put someone on him.
Is it commentary on Harbaugh's evaluation of our WRs? Or is it only how awesome Peppers is?
I feel like our current WRs compare well to this group with Darboh being maybe a notch behind Streets and the bevy of other guys on our roster filling in as Knight and Shaw. Actually, our current WRs may be slightly better as a whole (Canteen, Darboh, Chesson, Cole, Ways, etc). Throw Peppers in there and we have a very solid group.
This does not give me pause.
Our current group has a lot of potential, but no results as of yet. Of course, Canteen, Cole, and Ways haven't played significant snaps yet, nor have they had a proper QB throwing to them so it's really hard to compare. Nor have we had an O-line that can properly protect a QB recently, so yeah... there's a whole lot of factors that go into these things. Sorry about being a debbie downer. I'm very excited about Peppers taking snaps at offense but I don't think the results of these practice will really show until next year or 2 years from now.
No offense, but you're delusional if you think our WRs today compare to what we had on the '97 team.
Why can't it be both?
Throw Peppers in the slot a few times a drive and I'll be very happy.
twss
I cannot stop watching that. Not because of the greatness that is Jabrill, but just the insanely poor tackling.
If that's not running with enthusiasm unknown to mankind then idk what is.
Yes plz

Lord knows we need help at receiver.
Good news!!
You won't see the likes of Denard sitting on the sideline in the 2nd half against OSU (put him in slot or wherever & get him the ball in open space) ...with JH at the helm
It was talked about roundly last year, but I really do want to see what Peppers can do on offense as well. If he is getting evaluated and getting time on both sides of the ball, to me that speaks to the sort of player that they think he can be, a difference-maker no matter where he is. As someone said, even if he is lined up as a WR and you don't throw to him, a DC will likely assume you're thinking about it and use someone on him.
For your 21st bday give yourself a Wiki page. I will say it's impressive to see someone this devoted to our team who wasn't old enough to remember when we were dominant. Most of WD's M cognizant football experience has been the misery of the last few Carr years, RR and Hoke. Bless this kid for such devotion. I'm scared to think what might happen when we actually get back to being beasts again. As long as you don't end up like these two all should be fine:
