MSU versus Ohio State - MBB on CBS at 1:00 ET

Not much to watch on TV today with Michigan being shut down for another week, but we do have a men's basketball match-up between a mighty 8-5 MSU team and the #13 ranked Buckeyes.  The suckeyes are favored by 6.5 I believe.

Who do you have, and what is the optimal outcome here?  I personally hope that Ohio State blows em out by 50 in the first half and that Tiny Tom starts throwing punches at his players in a momentous meltdown where he misses on every swing except for a glancing uppercut to Aaron Henry's crotch.

I hope that a winter storm creates a bunch of leaks in the Value City Arena at halftime, and they are unable to complete the game as well as needing to cancel the remainder of Ohio State's home schedule.

Such are the dreams of a man who starts drinking at breakfast on a Sunday morning!

The Spartans are incredibly horrible!  Most of these guys were highly rated coming out of high school, but it looks like Izzo is utilizing some of his legendary coaching magic to turn them into a steaming pile of dog crap.  When there isn't a single player on their roster that would get significant minutes if they were on the Wolverine team, you know it's bad!  Time to retire Tiny Tom!

Yeah, but that PSU team is decent. They just smoked a good Wisconsin team and have won 3 out of their last 4 which isn't easy in the B1G (OSU their only loss)

My point: can't look at any one game this year in the B1G but the overall package. Anybody can beat anyone else this year.  UM, Iowa and OSU are legit Final Four teams - and maybe even a couple of more.  The B1G and NCAA tournaments are going to be a war

Methodical destruction of Sparty. Best thing to see? How helpless Izzo looked, as well as disinterested. I’ve seen plenty of cases where a coach loses a team, but this may be the first I’ve seen of a team losing its coach.

I couldn't agree more.  No whining at officials.  No screaming at his players.  No sarcastic comments at halftime (i don't think they do that doing COVID but still).  No full Izzo with 2 minutes left.  I haven't heard the post game report but I would be surprised if he checked out of the post game Izzo as well.

It's hard to believe all of their four star talent just sucks.

You hate to see it. But make no mistake MSU will look like a different team when they play Michigan. Their shots will fall and they will be grabbing rebounds that they couldn’t get in any other game. It will  be a slug fest and hopefully Howard doesn’t dismiss them and figure it will be a cake walk like Harbaugh did.

OSU has some talent but UM is too long for them and will have them chasing their tails trying to stop our wide open threes.

This is the worst Sparty team I can ever remember. Unathletic, can't shoot, and generally brain dead. Trying to decide if any of their players would even be in UM's rotation. Maybe Henry (if he got an IQ transplant). Loyer would make for a pretty good IM Bldg plater.

Austin Davis is going to have a career day against MSU.

I never root for sparty. I want Izzo to go through a slow painful ending to his coaching career.
