Doesn't get into too many specifics, but makes it official:

Unless mods can fix the link in the OP, here's the Detroit News link (requires subscription):

From that article:

Mike Hart, Michigan’s running backs coach for the last three seasons, including the last two as run-game coordinator, will not be returning to the Wolverines’ staff this season under first-year head coach Sherrone Moore, two sources confirmed to The Detroit News.

Hart, whose contract with Michigan expired on Jan. 10, declined comment when reached by The Detroit News on Friday. He has not been connected to any recent openings on college football or NFL staffs.

Apologies for my rusty/lacking HTML abilities above.

Ha!  You did everything correctly except for forgetting to hit the Source button in the upper right section.

Hope Hart is alright

In terms of team impact, I'm specifically worried how this will affect Jordan Marshall. He and Hart were very close and fingers crossed he doesn't ask out of his NLI

Insiders already saying that Moore is going to try to make this a big time / flashy hire

That’s putting it mildly. I am going through a lot of things in a short period of time. At the risk of oversharing here it goes…

Mental and physical health issues have led to loss of pay due to being unable to work and subsequent dangers of repossession of car and eviction from my apartment. I am in the process of getting state assistance for the latter. Who knows how that will turn out.

I am finally back at work so I am going to start getting my normal pay again. But I am still living on a razor’s edge. It’s probably a good thing that I am banned right now if I am being honest.

I write this not to generate sympathy. Everyone goes through shit. I am writing it so people have an idea of the  pressures I am under and why I have responded the way I have. I am not justifying or excusing any reprehensible things I have written.

I was banned for responding to a reference to January 6th. I don’t mind the ban because rules matter. I violated them.

Whoever wrote the mocking email to me after I was banned I just want you to know that karma is a thing.

Makes me lament all the more the departure of Jay Harbaugh. So, I guess one more coaching slot to fill a week before spring practice starts? Or is there an analyst in the pipeline?

Very unfortunate for him and Michigan. Hoping he can arrive in a good place personally and Michigan can find a good replacement. My perception was he brought a lot to the staff.

Dang, was hoping beyond hope that no news was good news after WindyCityBlue said his source told him Hart was out. Props Windy for bracing us for this.

Arguably the second best UM running back behind only his prodigy Corum. A national champion coach, All-American player, has his degree from here, helluva recruiter and developer of the running back position, helped earn  wins over OSU, intern coached a game, and he can leave as an ultimate Michigan Man. Best of luck wherever coaching takes you Mike Hart!

Hope it's not a health issue.  He is certainly in good standing and has not been connected to openings that I know of.

National championship coach that ran the very successful running attack would certainly be welcomed back when ready.  Plus he is the definition of a Michigan Man.

There's no way we keep such a loaded backfield last season if Mike Hart isn't coach. No way we see the ascendancy of Hassan Haskins in 2021, or the bulking up of Corum to be a full-time back. And just the level of offensive success partnering his RB coaching with Sherrone's OL coaching to be the most dominant running team in the country. Michigan Man - Leon Michael Hart, take care of yourself - sending positive vibes to you sir!
