"Nuke" is an expression that doesn't have a literal meaning. For instance, when I got back from vacation I told my wife I was going to "nuke" our pool with shock because it had turned green. She didn't stop me and say "but that would wipe out the whole population of southeast Michigan!"

And yes that was a humblebrag.

I'm fairly certain there's a difference between "nuking" the pool and the population of an entire state. :)  "Nuke the Horseshoe" -- I wouldn't have reacted, even if it's still hyperbole.

Michigan fans should be better than this, though.  "Nuke the scUM" is a Buckeye thought.  Better to feel sorry for them -- can you imagine having to go through life as an OSU fan? -- than to act like them.

It's like everything else seems to be nowadays - blindly partisan as long as your guy is winning. Ignore the facts, call it fake news, stonewall, and get back to winning. Sports, politics, etc. It's tiresome

That first reply made me laugh. Brett was not laid off due to performance. It's called a budget cut, OSU fans. Pretty simple to understand.

EDIT: Also, that reply makes no sense whatsoever. Brett's report/investigation uncovered a scandal at their precious THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Ohio State University, which resulted in a suspension of their dickhead coach (pun intended, of course). I'll bet ESPN would have loved to have one of their own reporting that.

Speaking of fans, I looked at OSU's schedule and Urban will be pretty insulated from hostile (non-hypocritical) fanbases until bowl season.

The only road games he'll coach this season:

PSU -- (Sandusky/JoePa scandal)
Purdue -- (LOL @ hostile Purdue fans)
MSU -- (Nassar, Auston Robertson, and housing serial litterbugs)
MD -- (Their coaching staff literally has blood on their hands)

I'm convinced he would have coached the TCU game if that was neutral site or at home.  They want to shelter him from a hostile environment for as long as possible.

Don't ever compare OSU trolls to English hooligans. Hooligans are way classier than Buckeye fans even while breaking windows in a local town square, or urinating in public.

Plus Russian Hooligans have taken the crown in recent years. The last Euro Cup featured 150 Russian MMA fighters funded by the government to randomly attack foreigners.

This is getting old.

If he has more stuff, bring it out. If not, I don’t need to hear about McMurphy having twitter wars with Buckeye fans.

OSU fans have absolutely been intolerable on social media these past 24 years

Not sure if we can edit MGoPosts, so I amended OP's post to what OP doubtless intended.

McMurphy did what he could but there was just no way Meyer was going to be fired. Michigan is not on a level playing field with OSU and MSU because they are not willing to get their hands dirty and do whatever it takes to win.

It wasn’t an excuse for losing to them, it’s a fact. He didn’t say we lose to them because we won’t stoop to their level. He didn’t even mention winning and losing. He just said we aren’t on level playing fields.

It is a fact that both schools are shitty places to go to school and they only care about winning. They are both comprised of morally bankrupt assholes that trade student safety and the safety of women for football wins. We won’t be on a leve plying field because we are better people than them. It’s pretty sound logic

McMurphy was just on Jim Rome. Rome just spent a whole hour with the most epic takedown of Meyer and OSU and their fans. Rome sometimes grates on me and can be obnoxious at times, but this was a fantastic take.
