Jabrill Peppers to wear #22

Submitted by UMich2016 on

During the slow news month of June, I figured this may be of note for a few MGoBloggers who are interested in obtaining a Jabrill Peppers jersey (as I am).

Jabrill will be flying around for the Brownies in #22.

Also noteworthy -- the browns just traded starting LB Demario Davis to the jets for a Safety, Calvin Pryor.   Will Peppers be playing a position similar to Viper in the NFL?  The Browns Defensive Coordinator seems really excited for Jabrill and his versatility, and this trade may be indicative that Jabrill will be playing a LB/S hybrid as opposed to strictly safety.  Hue Jackson has also hinted he may see some snaps on offense as well, and we all know the Browns need some playmakers there.

Can't wait to see him in the NFL.

And I'm a Michigan Alum AND a Browns season ticket holder.  So buying Peppers jersey seemed perfect to me.

First jersey I've bought in about 30 years and happy I did.  Like the guy above said - the Browns will exchange the #27 for a #22 at the team shop.

The gap between the Warriors and the Cavs isnt the gigantic chasm the west coast media would like people to believe.  If not for the damn last three minutes of game three this series is now 3-2 Warriors and we're coming back home to even things back up.

FWIW if I get David Griffin's job I'm going to resign Korver, not resign Deron Williams,  James Jones and Dahnty Jones.  I'm going to shop the hell out of Shumpert and see what I can possibly get for either TT or Love but I'm ok if both come back.   We need to get younger and more athletic off the bench that's for damn sure.

Anyways....they cant take 2016 away from us.

If they hadn't gone off for 50......yeah, but they did.  They made the shots, what is the argument?

By this same logic I could say if the Warriors didn't sign Kevin Durant the Cavs would be back to back champs.  Why does that even matter?  They did sign Kevin Durant, so what's the point of saying it?

LeBron had the Cavs up 2-1 in 2015 by himself.  Without injury, the Warriors may not have even had 1 ring going into this series.  But they do, so what's the point of saying it?

The only thing that matters is a team that went to 2 straight Finals added the 2nd best player on the planet, end of story.

What drove me nuts was the narrative that this was a rematch.  This was in no way, shape, or form a rematch.  You signed KEVIN FUCKING DURANT.

It also drives me nuts that we need an athletic wing defender, because that's exactly what Shumpert is being paid to be.  And it still doesn't matter, because nobody except Kawhi can guard Durant

Williams and Korver played in their first finals and shit their pants.  Love played his ass off.  JR was fine, it's just that he killed himself on D.

Both of these teams are anomalies.  The team we just lost to should not exist in a salary capped league, and really, neither should we.  If I'm a fan of any of the other 28 teams, I wouldn't even bother watching next year.  Unless there's an injury both of these teams are in the finals next year.

I couldn't get over how many times we had over 60 points in the 1st half against the 2nd best defensive team in the league, but we were still losing.

If I'm anybody in the East, I'm stockpiling all the young talent I can find, and I'm building for the next 2-4 years. Lebron will be 33 at the end of 2017, with 14 seasons in already. There's a lot of miles on that engine. By the time he's 35-36, he's going to wear down, and probably quickly at that point, as he'll be pushing 16-17 years in the league. That's where the next team will challenge. Assuming he stays in Cleveland, the Cavs have 2-3 years left. I don't know what to do in the West. The Spurs have to rebuild very soon, and I have no idea what Magic is going to do with the Lakers. If I'm the Warriors, there's not too much in the rest of the West that scares me at this point.

that guy playing in Turkey, that's coming to the NBA. PG isn't going to resign with Indiana, I think they would for sure deal him if it means getting something solid back in return. Plus they would have Love for 3 years. Now, if you guys didn't win the championship next year, I think PG and Lebron go to LA and then you guys are really screwed. But, if you win next year, it could be the start of something great.

Yep, PG would be a terrific one year rental who's probably the best guy after Kawhi to guard Durant. The down side for Cleveland is that it would give Lebron a whole year to play with PG and think about opting out to create the LA super team he's supposedly contemplating.

Good thing I waited to buy a jersey. I hate the fact I'll be buying a Browns jersey, but Jabrill has been my favorite player the last three (two?) seasons.

EDIT: I'll never understand why some people hate it when others wear jerseys. They're just shirts with numbers and letters.

I've had Broncos season tickets for 14yrs now, and have had them in the family since the 60's.  I don't often buy jerseys but have over the years and you bet your ass I will be rocking a BUTT jersey at Mile Hi this fall.

Of all the weird things people do to let occupy your mind, adults wearing jerseys seems pretty innocuous to me. I've purchased many a jersey. I wear my Tom Brady jersey every sunday the Pats are playing. I don't see anything about wearing jerseys that is weirder than or out of line with the general weirdness of being a sports fan. Any real fan is already closely following the professional development, health, and personal issues of upwards of 100 other adults. But we're gonna draw the line at wearing a jersey of your favorite team/athletes?

Not wanting to spend too much $ on Browns gear, but wanting to support Jabrill, i'll look to get a name tshirt.  Peppers in Orange isn't too bad for ~$20.

Warning! Upcoming cool story bro: Went to game 3 of the NBA Finals, walking over to the Sportscenter booth and standing right next to me is Jabrill doing a promo for some media company, jumped in and did like a 10 second promo thing with him. Even cooler, he's standing next to a chick fil a stand that was giving away free sandwiches.

It's Jabrill! We celebrate our players in different ways and wear the Maize and Blue (or the players professional teams colors) proudly. If you're cheering for Michigan (or its' players), it's all good!
