I upvoted myself because that's how strongly I feel about this. I would rather watch Brian talk about Star Trek Voyager or Craig Ross talk about the Russian Revolution for six hours than watch another tacky-as-fuck, middle-school-talent-show-level four minute SEC Shorts bit. Because that would be much funnier. I think in the interest of good taste, SEC Shorts should be banned from the board. BAN SEC SHORTS.

I agree with the critique specific to SEC Shorts. I can’t upvote you though because you go on to impugn all Southern humor. Granted, I don’t have any counter examples to dispute your claim but it seemed mean spirited.

Just watched it. Why does the lady have a Long Island accent? I think that’s what they were going for. Not sure because it’s poorly done despite being one of the easiest to mimic.
Seems like it should be a southern accent though since it’s the SEC.

I hear you. That was a bit too far and I apologize. A lot of great comedians/comic actors hail from the South: Steve Martin, Ron White, Darrell Hammond, Danny McBride are some of my favorites. But, I used to have a theory that our best comedians come from cold, northern climes, particularly, NY, New England, Midwest and of course Canada, which has produced more brilliant comedians per capita than anywhere else in the world.
