It’s a perfect mirror for the Ryan Day ethos. You can tell what it’s supposed to be emulating, something with a history and grandeur, but the execution just can’t match it’s own expectation.
I wasn't even thinking about the money. (By most reports JJ is well compensated anyway.) What makes JJ the perfect for for this program, and what may well define the culture off this team, is in less than a month's time, he went from a *Heisman favorite* to handing the ball off for an entire half in a marqee top ten matchup and was genuinely happy to do it if it helped the team win. Ask yourself how many top end college QBs would react that way, particularly in a draft eligible year. THAT'S why he'll be hard to replace at Michigan.
It’s an upgrade to your grandma’s pressure cooker that probably looked like a part of a WWII submarine. Really good for speed cooking beans & rice. Some models have features like steaming, yogurt making, sterilizing, sautéing, sous vide, etc... It can reasonably approximate a slow cooker but the big ceramic ones still do a better job of distributing heat from all sides imo. I’ve seen some with an air fryer attachment but reviews seem mixed on those.
Seems like a good time and place to drop a favorite bit of musical trivia: The same dude who did Yakety Sax played the iconic sax solo on Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree. (Also, Brenda Lee was 13 when she recorded it 😳)
You know what I do want a repeat of? The fourth quarter of the 2023 American football match between Rutgers University and the Michigan State Spartans. Such a rich and satisfying display of comeuppance.
Enlightening article overall, but man. Two full "paragraphs" in that snip could really use a "CHART!" prompt from good ol' Bolded Alter Ego. We're so lucky to have him on this site.
I'm with you. I'm not the demographic so I wouldn't normally complain but it really bothers me that of the three words around the edge two are adjectives and one is a noun. Parallelism is apparently a light fetish for me.
I can't speak for the rest of humanity, but us fools here will spend eternity playing chicken on the event horizon of the black pit of negative expectations.
I haven't followed his life or career especially closely but from what coverage I've consumed osmotically (starting with the move to Colorado) it seems like he's at the center of his own universe - jumping at the first shot at a P5 job after treating the JSU gig like charity work, calling his son "your quarterback" before he'd even transferred, etc etc... I dunno, just rubs me the wrong way.
Not saying I've made up my mind about the man. Just the impression I've formed from content consumed at arms length.
That said, nobody but nobody is making him wear a shirt hyping himself. That's just silly.
I know what you're suggesting but let's not mince words. You're afraid he was using University resources to play Madden and calling nothing but Philly Specials. (And wanking to it.)
Use of computer program, computer, computer system, or computer network to commit crime. Sec. 6. (1) A person shall not use a computer program, computer, computer system, or computer network to commit, attempt to commit, conspire to commit, or solicit another person to commit a crime.
Could be something truly awful, or could be something like ...
Before my fellow nerds start negging me, let me say I'm aware padawan is a one at a time type of gig. I think it's still ok since U of M isn't in the Star Wars universe. That said, George Lucas is 100% pissed he didn't think of the name Santa Ono first.

Man, I read it the same way and had the same thought. Glad you said something to get us both straightened out.
They really yeeted the bag at him

He spoke at the '05 College of Engineering commencement!
Also, I just noticed that the first letter of our last four opponents unscrambles to spell I-O-W-A. Spooky!
Guys, this is all laid out in chapter 14 of the Manifesto. Keep up.
I got you boo
Much prefer he ball out on Monday and cement himself as a Day 1 pick than get him back for a second year if those are the only choices. (They're not.)
Beveled guilt, sure, but the ad server on this site terrifies me. Looks like it has more viruses than a daycare in January.

Oh, definitely a thing that happened, I just don't consider a staged photo to be a "play"
It's not a play but neither is the original jumpman so IDC

Candor for Sale even mocked one up at the time
back on your bullshit, I see
I mean, it's been pretty helpful to have an egoless magician under center, too
That’s gosh darn gorgeous

While simultaneously insisting he's a leading candidate for every NFL vacancy
100%

Yeah, despite the warnings about the End of Pax Specialistica, Turner and Doman have really been excellent.
Hey, why am I…
Spoiler!
Hey, why am I craving a chimichanga?
That, and is development and an OL going to move him from bad to even average? Let alone elite?
Imagining the mental gymnastics the nuttiest of bucks go through to avoid that and howling.
“The central team up north— uh, no the team up central north? Can I say Centrichigan? Fuck!”
Yes, but why announce today instead of after the season?
The only (only!) explanation is he is in his feelings after he finally got to see a team score two safeties in one game and it wasn’t his.

Anyone else surprised to see Kyle McCord on a similar tier as Jayden Daniels and Quinn Ewers?

Please know that I say this with nothing but love and respect:

/looks both ways
/deep breath
Nnnnnnyerrrrrrrrd!!!
Working on something…
Sigh.
Probably got distracted wondering what the hell the "Warning: ❌aize Ahead" sign meant
/checks if mgousername TarrisReedBaker is available

Great, Oden's ravin' ... about this program!

Make way for Michael Barrett, LB assistant! L know?
Hey there
To be fair, TEs are often over the EDGE
Autocorrect was like "nah bro, you really shouldn't say what you're about to say. I'ma help you out"
No way! You can always count on him to push back against viral trash.
He's not really my type. But if you cover him in hollandaise and you've got Greggs Benedict, and I might give that a second look.
Man, I remember the last time I heard someone say "great links bro."
It was quite the sausage party. /ducks

Ditto Urban Meyer.
(geese)
Now that you mention it, Harbaugh's tenure began the same year The Force Awakens came out. I'm starting to believe.

Hire Jim Hackett to a three year term with two padawan apprentices to compete for the position in 2027
Some version of this timeline would also be welcome
A big part of it is I'm too lazy to get a new one. A small part of it is to make you personally feel uncomfortable. But mostly a lazy thing.
