12/18/2018 - 7:43am I remember reading this…

I remember reading this article around a month ago about this same kid. They're just regurgitating it. I may have missed it but I don't think it mentions if he attended any camps, if he didn't that could be a big reason. But he does have Cincinnati, Ball State and Northern Illinois amongst others offering, so I don't feel sorry for him. He's obviously just not good enough for a Power 5 program.

12/07/2018 - 8:31am No I don't think its a good…

No I don't think its a good idea to bring back a fired former head coach as a position coach. With his ability to hold down coordinator and position coach jobs since I think it seems he's lost it.

12/07/2018 - 8:25am I live in the Columbia, SC…

I live in the Columbia, SC area so surrounded by Gamecock fans. Beat Carolina!!! Not that they care, the only sports that matter to them are football, baseball and occasionally women's basketball.

12/04/2018 - 8:56am It's seriously humorous that…

It's seriously humorous that Buckeye fans whole focus is on our program and that they are gloating more about Urban being 7-0 vs Michigan than they are happy that he won a CFB NC, never had a losing record or lost more than 2 games in a season. Remarkable run but the focus is all on us. Gotta love that even when we haven't beaten them in forever, we are still in their heads.

12/04/2018 - 8:26am I think in the short term…

I think in the short term their recruiting will continue to be high, after all they are a football factory. That said, in the long term will they begin to slip? Will Day be able to pull in the high caliber coaches that Urban was? Time will tell.

12/01/2018 - 6:09pm I'd love to have season…

I'd love to have season tickets and attend every home game, but that 700 mile one way drive is a non-starter. That said I try to catch every game if its televised.

11/26/2018 - 2:58pm I'm calling it "The Sandbag…

I'm calling it "The Sandbag Game". It almost looks like OSU has been sandbagging almost the entire Big 10 season at least since their win at PSU. It didn't help that nationally most were saying UM was going to win and that didn't sit well with Meyer and crew. We have been humbled and from this hopefully learn some lessons as a fan base. That said will we ever beat OSU again?

11/10/2018 - 3:19pm MSU is just that bad, sort…

MSU is just that bad, sort of like our offense a year ago. Of course all you hear about is their injuries, as if ours in years past mattered not one wit. OTOH, I am not impressed much by OSU either mostly on offense. Their DL and special teams are pretty legit though.

11/08/2018 - 9:04pm If it has to be explained…

If it has to be explained you can’t understand it. Time for a full Rutger game.

11/04/2018 - 2:09pm Both Syracuse and…

Both Syracuse and Mississippi State jumped 11 spots! Thats just crazy.

The other thing that stuck out to me was Kentucky losing badly to Georgia and staying at #12! How does that work? Lose and stay where you are? Polls are useless.

11/03/2018 - 1:38pm Oh? What did I miss?  ESPN…

Oh? What did I miss?  ESPN has to apologize, after all they are the flag waver for the SEC.

11/03/2018 - 1:36pm While the ACC is a dumpster…

While the ACC is a dumpster fire you can't fault a team for their conference schedule. Where you fault a team is OOC, and there Clemson has the 2nd toughest in the nation. That said do we penalize a team for conference schedule? I would love for conference bias not play into the equation as B1G has been on the downside of that while SEC has been the benefactor. But the day will come when B1G is a dumpster fire, I would rather that not be held against us.

11/03/2018 - 1:20pm OSU is not impressive at all…

OSU is not impressive at all. If Nebraska had any ability they should be winning this game. The Huskers are not a good team but seem to be playing with some confidence. I expect OSU will keep them at arms length and then pull away late.

11/02/2018 - 8:10am Or maybe its something to do…

Or maybe its something to do with Clemson having the #2 OOC schedule at this point in the year. Who is #3? Oh yeah, its the good guys! Go Blue!

10/26/2018 - 11:27am The answer is always root…

The answer is always root against Sparty. To be honest whoever we play in Big Ten won't end up hurting us that bad whether they win or lose, unless everyone goes .500 in league someone we play will have a good enough record to make us look good and this year that is undoubtedly Wisconsin, PSU and OSU. But at the end of the day, win out and the only team we have lost too is probable playoff bound Notre Dame, that should get us in.

So that said I root against teams I hate and for teams I like. I hate OSU, MSU, ND and PSU. I'll root against them everytime.

10/20/2018 - 5:11pm Even when the weather is…

Even when the weather is against us and we are hit with a gazillion dumb penalties this team had the heart, determination, grit and talent to win. Funny seeing some of the Sparty fans crying that our DB's are physical or that we are dirty, isn't that what they did when they were crushing our souls during the RR and Hoke years?

10/13/2018 - 7:18pm I agree, Davis had to be…

I agree, Davis had to be helped off the field due to a "leg injury". Two plays later he's catching teh TD pass with no look of having any injury.

10/13/2018 - 7:16pm LOL! PSU deserves the loss,…

LOL! PSU deserves the loss, let Sparty use up all their luck this week and tricks.

Probably going to OT with a FG.

10/13/2018 - 7:09pm Watching the end of this…

Watching the end of this State game is liking watching paint dry. So agonizing. Neither team has good coaching or can make a play.

Edit: now Mork is taking a page from OSU to try and beat them.

10/13/2018 - 6:51pm Tried it one too many times…

Tried it one too many times. Its his calling card and every team should always be prepared.

10/13/2018 - 6:47pm The flaws of some top teams…

The flaws of some top teams getting exposed today. PSU is overrated that is for certain. MSU has been offensively challenged all season and now they're moving the ball against PSU's supposed defense. Liking our chances more and more. Still going to be some tough games, but there's certainly a chance now.

10/13/2018 - 6:13pm Both State teams looking…

Both State teams looking like trash. Can't figure out if MSU is playing up for the game or if PSU is playing down to MSU.

09/23/2018 - 6:18pm I think it was a good win to…

I think it was a good win to help the team and especially OL get more confidence and game time experience. Sure, against a good DL they may still be jello but I'll take games like this any day if they help us improve. How many years in the past did OSU look like hot garbage against a team early in the season but by the time they get to the end of the season of various mediocre teams to build to the end, they are like a finely tuned machine. I like how our schedule lines up with bad and middling B1G teams to start and builds up even giving us two bad teams before OSU.

09/22/2018 - 8:07pm Agreed, they got a…

Agreed, they got a fortuitous pick 6 as IU was moving on them. I might give it until the 2nd quarter.

I can't believe I'm watching this game. Spartans are not looking sharp to start.

Frost will outhit Nebraska back into prominence! Or at least the bottom of the B1G standings!

If this was the score at the end of the game I would be pleased. Its only halftime... WOW!!!

09/22/2018 - 12:30pm Thats my take so far as well…

Thats my take so far as well, all they are doing is talking about Frost and Nebraska. Oh, its so hard to rebuild a program. Meanwhile for 3 years they've been hammering on Harbaugh.

09/21/2018 - 5:17pm 31 - 20 Good guys win.

31 - 20 Good guys win.

09/21/2018 - 5:16pm Hate them? Yes. Loathe them?…

Hate them? Yes. Loathe them? Yes. Wish they could lose every game but for 1 (OSU)? Absolutely.

Rival? Not even close.

09/20/2018 - 1:03pm Can't believe no one brought…

Can't believe no one brought this up unless I overlooked it, but just because they play at UM doesn't mean they aren't used to hot weather. Look where Metellus is from, he's from Florida. I'm sure most of you have been to Florida and can attest to how hot and humid it is. I live in South Carolina and its currently in the 90's with high humidity usually through September into October and Florida is usually a little warmer.

Not discounting the fact he was likely dehydrated and even cramping, but remember most players aren't from Michigan and a large number are from the south where they are used to it.

09/15/2018 - 7:13pm Worst refs ever, thats…

Worst refs ever, thats saying a lot as we have seen a lot of games in East Lansing, Columbus and South Bend.

Live near Columbia, SC. Last night stopped at Publix to grab a few supplies and talking to the cashier they had ran out of water earlier in the day but when I was there the shelves were about half full. Not looking forward to possibly having no power for a few days but some people buy like they're going to without for 2 weeks!

09/08/2018 - 7:28pm More than likely this team…

More than likely this team is good enough to pummel lesser teams like Western, win against mediocre teams but struggle against teams with any kind of good defense and a pulse on offense. This game doesn't change a lot but it is good to seem them putting away teams that they should and I think we can all agree this team really needed a confidence shot.

09/01/2018 - 7:54pm Not a good start on D... BUT…

Not a good start on D... BUT, they almost had them in a 3 and out. Get to the QB a step quicker and its another story on that first 3rd down. Let them score quick and we'll wear out their defense running the ball down their throats, they're built for spread.

Easy answers, growing up my Dad was a Pontiac man so while I've only owned one in my lifetime I've always liked the muscle. Bring back the GTO and the Trans Am as their own cars, not based on something else or imported from Australia. A Camaro with a T/A body kit still looks like a Camaro and I'm not a Chevy fan.

Thanks for changing the background color, it really helps break it up and makes it more readable.

I have not named any car I've ever owned. None seemed that special or to have a personality to be worthy of a name. They're simply transportation.

Slightly less. I check it less at work but that could be because of the current workload but the biggest thing is without the app I don't check it on my phone even though I have the shortcut.

07/02/2018 - 7:03pm Live in Lexington, SC and…

Live in Lexington, SC and have been here 3 years.

Pros:

1. It never snows here, well I have heard tales of snow and ice but have yet to see any.

2. HUGE Lake Murray only about 2 miles away from my house.

3. Winters are short and not unbearable

4. One of cheapest gas prices in the country due to low gas taxes

5. The ocean is only 2 hours away

6. The Mrs and I LOVE Charleston, which again is only 2 hours away.

7. Florida and all its vacation spots are only a few hours away.

8. Did I mention there is a short winter?

9. I like Clemson, anywhere I live I adopt a team. Previously in Cincinnati it was Xavier (least offensive team in that area), here I liked Clemson because like UM they have history and tradition.

Cons:

1. They can't drive here, everyday I-20 and I-26 have an accident that shuts them down. Lexington is the busiest traffic I've ever encountered short of Houston or Atlanta.

2. The summer heat and humidity is brutal. The Midlands of SC are known for their humidity.

3. Hurricanes

4. SEC

5. SEC

6. SEC

7. Again bad drivers. Slowest turners in the world and they haven't seen a red light they won't run. I actually wait 5 seconds on a green and look both ways.

8. Did I mention the bloody hot and humid summers?

I know its supposed to be top 3 but its too hard to decide. Even top 5 I had to leave out some people I think are very deserving. But there it is, my top 5.

I agree on the white space and thin fonts. It makes an aging guy like me have to squint to read. Reminds me of being in a sterile office space with nothing but white walls.

05/30/2018 - 4:30pm Awesome

Just plain ol' awesome! Does it get any better than this?

05/30/2018 - 8:46am That's where I came from

That's where I came from as well. I couldn't for th life of me remember the name of the site though. I got there after we lost to in the Alamo Bowl in 2005. I was so done with Carr at that point I went looking for a place to vent. That place saw me through the Horror and the first year of RR. What I liked was that there were several OSU fans so the banter kept us sharp, plus they did contests with some cool sports memorablia. That said, when the end came I too made the move here although I had been lurking for awhile. The banter here has always been different so I don't post as much as I just read. But as early as 2008 this was my go to site for inofrmation.

05/10/2018 - 2:12pm Agreed

Good points made on why Jordan is the better player. The defenses were better then, there was higher level of talent top to bottom because of less players and there were many more dominant big men in the league who would punish you for going inside.

More than anything, I think the part people miss is that Jordan had that killer instinct, ice flowed through his veins and he would do whatever it took to beat you. He wanted to win, plain and simple. Along with that he liked to get into his opponents heads. LBJ likes to win, he's a great talent and player, but I've never heard anyone say he has that "win no matter what" mentality. When the game is on the line you knew Jordan would get the ball, its not always the case with LBJ. Yes, he has learned to carry a team on his shoulders but Jordan was doing that from the get go. Remember, in LBJ's first Cav's stint the knock was that he couldn't carry a team, clearly he has learned to carry a team but I'm not so sure he has the same killer instinct as Jordan did.

Another thing about Jordan, whenever he was criticized for a flaw in his game, he would work on it until it became a strength. For instance, when he came into the league he was all offense and no defense. I remember him being roundly criticized for it. He worked on it over the summer a couple of years into the league and before long he was transformed into a Defensive MVP. If nothing else its the intangibles that make Jordan the GOAT over LBJ, who in his own right is a great player. The next question is: LBJ or Wilt?

04/15/2018 - 2:22pm West Michigan here

West Michigan here and you're right, great place to be FROM and I don't miss the cold and winter weather at all. Been in the 70's - 80's where I live for a over a month now with the occassional drop to the 50's. I generally get to cut my grass from late February up into December every year. Don't feel bad for me, I have a very small yard. :)

04/14/2018 - 12:15pm Blizzard of '78

I remember that one well. I was 9 years old and my dad got stuck at work so my mom and I went out and began clearing all the very large branches in the driveway and trying to shovel out. For several days the best way to get around was by snowmobile.
