You are correct the CFP wont allow a re-match of GA vs Bama, but they wont avoid it happening in the finals, they want to avoid it in the semi-finals.
When UM wins, it will be Bama #1, UM #2, GA #3, and Cinn #4. That's how the CFP committee will avoid Bama vs GA in the semi-finals.
