This hurts a lot. Michigan does not make the sweet 16 without him. Showed more promise his FR season than Simpson did and was about to get the keys to the car next year.

This is a shock and a big blow.

Juwan’s first two PG recruits leave the program before even playing 2 years. Unfortunate luck there for sure

All of those guys were either Beilein guys or transfers.  I wouldn't call their improvement significant after he arrived.

Who has he developed on his own that wants to stay with him? Caleb Houston, Kobe Bufkin, Frankie Collins, Zeb Jackson...?

To me the fact that Juwan signs 2 pg’s then back fills starters from the portal instead of letting the kids grow, makes this predictable. Nowadays you can’t expect kids to want to wait. Probably be negged for this but I think the way Devante Jones continued to get to play when he clearly was not a B1G pg was just maddening. Said the same about Zeb last year when Juwan didn’t get him enough minutes to be prepared and could’ve used him against UCLA… Gotta figure this out!

Not too surprising given the transfer addition of Jaelin Llewellyn. This is just the state of College Basketball now with players coming and leaving. Hopefully Frankie finds the right spot for him, he's a promising young player and was very fun to watch during the NCAA Tournament this year.

I don't get it. People are saying it's because of who we're going after in the portal, but isn't Llewellyn a 2 and Emoni a 3? I would get it if T Will or Bufkin were transferring. No idea who is going to play the 1 next year

Sucks so much. Kids going to be a star! All you fuckers who downvoted me yesterday for calling this can return the favor.

I don't want to disparage Frankie Collins specifically, but if this kind of stuff is the current state of college basketball I can't imagine it's going to hold my interest much longer.

Edit: If Frankie Collins needs a change of scenery or just wants to play somewhere else he should have that opportunity. If the roster is going to have 3-4 new starters every year due to transfers in and out I just can't see myself maintaining the same level of interest.

I just don't get this line of thought. Was it awesome that a guy like Eli brooks stayed 5 years? Yes definitely. But did it make me *more* interested in our team? No, not really. I was very interested in our team and I always will be regardless of how many years our starters have been at the program.
