Enemy Chatter

Most of us went back to work/school today and with that comes the trash talk or chatter from opposing fan bases. What is being said to yall today from other fans from rival schools (MSU or Ohio State for us Ohians)?

Pony Conquerer finally “conquered” a Sparty.

Granted it was the boss of the place of where he works.

(We’ll coworkers.)

It's tongue in cheek and no different than the little brother comments. If we don't hang on to our douchey elitism, what else do we have?

And geez, what a bunch of sensitive babies on the board lately. I think the game and the election day jitters are messing with everyone's brains.

My guy, it is precisely why people hate Michigan. I’m shocked you have an alternate theory, actually, but take it from the horse’s mouth: we don’t like your collective “schtick” which really isn’t schtick. You can chalk it up to just wearing different colors, except that a) everyone in the conference hates Michigan, and b) Michigan is singular in this quality.

Yours is a community of people who spend an unseemly amount of energy talking yourselves up in comparison to all others, there’s a blatantly classist undertone to your smugness, and it doesn’t endear you to anyone. You’re all the gross, gauche, downside of Duke with none of the accomplishments to back it up.

Jeez, for a bunch of self proclaimed geniuses, you’d think this would have dawned on you by now.

A few years back a Sparty friend of mine sent out a photo of a Michigan push lawn mower decked out in a painted on Michigan football helmet. All the Sparties piled on and said what a piece of shit it was and how it couldn't mow worth a shit. I told them that it works perfectly on arrogant lawns. They didn't know how to respond.

Ummm State fans actually feel sorry for me and Ohio fans have felt sorry for the last 3 years. Not sure what’s worse.

2015 doesn't count because...we won that game aside from the world's wildest fluke at the end. 2020 is being played without the two best players we were counting on having this year.

I'm just talking about record vs. MSU. They beat us about once every four years going back to before the Carr days. Do people really think there was a point in the past several decades where we steamrolled them every single year like it was nothing?

MSU saying they would be "overjoyed" if we kept Harbaugh is about the level of thought I would expect from a typical Sparty.

Nope, it for sure counts. I was there. The MSU dudes in my section that are still probably jumping up and down know it counts too.

See, this is part of the issue. The team was unprepared for that obvious situation and it cost them the game. That happens way more than it should for UM. I don't know why it happens so often, but I would really like it to not happen so much.

Oh boo boo!! Harbaugh had to deal with COVID.

You know who else had to deal with COVID? Mel Tucker and literally every other coach this season. Keep trying to put lipstick on a pig, it doesn’t mask the fact that our lord and savior Jim Harbaugh in year 6 just got straight up BEAT at home by a nobody first year coach who was a desperation hire by MSU with a no-talent depleted roster coming off a loss at home to Rutgers. LOL my God, man.

At some point, you have to stop finding excuses for a coach who loses to multiple teams each year, despite having more talent.

Our only good road game under Harbaugh came in an empty stadium. Unless he runs the table and makes the OSU game competitive for 4 quarters, there needs to be a serious conversation about his future after next season.

I think he will be better than Patterson when he figures out his touch.  We all got duped by how easy game 1 against Minnesota was.  Fact is Minnesota is not very good right now, maybe they will improve as the season goes on?  Anyway, in typical Michigan fashion, after game 1 we all believed that we are better than what we actually are.  And acted like our shit didn't stink and overlooked Sparty.  And then proceeded to get whipped by them.  This sequence of events is THE most annoying thing about Michigan football.

Who's we? I saw a guy who's average pass completion was 4 yards downfield against Minnesota. I would have been surprised if State hadn't come in and dared us to prove we could throw downfield.

What I was fooled about was that Don Brown brought Jean-Mary in to try to add a zone and zone-blitz mix to the defense, so they could lean on that when they were outmatched in man (see, Ohio State). Shame on me for thinking perhaps Brown finally learned his lesson. Nope.
