Chris Partridge Appreciation Thread
Reading Adam's post of the Partridge presser reinforced what many here already knew- Chris Partridge is a good fit on this staff- and a good fit at Michigan.
In little more than a few years, he has risen from coaching an elite high school team, to Michigan recruiting coordinator, to linebacker coach on the best defensive team in the country. While this team is blessed with an incredible amount of experience and accomplishments amongst the coaching staff- the work he has done with our linebackers and special teams players cannot be overlooked.
You can hear his intensity and passion in these pressers.
Excited about Coach Partridge's continued success, and future at Michigan.
Go Blue!

Just like the during the game schadenfreude. Calling Peppers, and Gary traitors. Then pleading that they transfer, and lose a year to play for shit end of the Big Ten Rutgers.
No one ever said that desperation is a rational path to success.

If a kid wants to go tor a school that fits him, he loves it there. They have everything he needs to get a good degree and get his shot at the pro's . He should forget all that and go to a school that is in his home state whether he likes it or not or be looked at as a traitor wow these people need to get a life.
Plenty of 5 stars or equivalent (before star renkings) have left Michigan where there are two major universities to pick from and end up going to OSU,USC Notre Dame. Alabama, Mark Ingtem comes to mind a Heisman Trophy winner. Another kid a QB from Utica led OSU to a National Championship, can't seem to remember his name.
Where do we draw the line? You can't move from one city to another in High School, Jr. High? Elementary.? You can't leave the state even if you don't play sports. Are there no out of state players on Rutgers team? Or any successful College in America. You can't leave your State for work? I bet the bottom line has jealous written on it.

Wouldn't surprise me if in a few years he takes a job elsewhere as DC. Don Brown is gonna be here quite a while.

Brown is only 61. I actually thought he was older than that.

Wouldn't surprise me if in a few years he skips the DC thing & takes over at Rutgers.

It's almost as if Harbaugh didn't hire him just to get Rashan Gary.....
Seriously, though, Harbaugh does a great job of identifying and bringing in talent. Mama Gwen regularly gets rave reviews from recruits' parents.

It was funny, in retrospect, that someone on a Rutgers board said that they would punch their sofa each time Partridge appeared on camera during our game with there. I do hope there is a seriously distorted and damaged sofa in New Jersey now.
I do agree, of course - he's an incredibly valuable addition to this staff, and hopefully he hangs around for a while.

He was watching it with a MSU fan so the couch was already on fire.

them they still have 10 days left to sell it to a Spartan fan on Craig's List and ship it to East Lansing prior to the Michigan game.
It will be in huge demand about 3:45 PM unless it has been treated for fire retardation.

We need an Appreciation Thread Appreciation Thread, so we can appreciate all these appreciation threads.

that we have appreciation threads as opposed to threads like "Who Should Replace Kelly and Van Gorder" that are on other fans' boards...
We had those exactly two years ago - hard to believe how far we've come. Whose got it better than us?

but Brown is doing most of the LB coaching. Partridge's responsibility is the SAM, i.e. Peppers.

Hudson seems like a natural fit, but he might be needed at safety. I'd expect to see Uche there and maybe Furbush moves inside. This defense won't look the same after Jabril moves on, but we're going to see some talented freshmen that might contribute immediately.

When we signed him I thought it was all about getting in with new jersey kids... similar to perry watson and jalen rose... but I was wrong.
Dude can coach and harbaugh is a genius because PArtridge will be leaving us in the next couple years for a head coaching job somewhere.

Someone should post a front page interview with him.
We could all appreciate him there.
