Chris Partridge Appreciation Thread

Submitted by Unfiltered Manball on

Reading Adam's post of the Partridge presser reinforced what many here already knew- Chris Partridge is a good fit on this staff-  and a good fit at Michigan.

In little more than a few years, he has risen from coaching an elite high school team, to Michigan recruiting coordinator, to linebacker coach on the best defensive team in the country.   While this team is blessed with an incredible amount of experience and accomplishments amongst the coaching staff- the work he has done with our linebackers and special teams players cannot be overlooked.

You can hear his intensity and passion in these pressers.

Excited about Coach Partridge's continued success, and future at Michigan.

If a kid wants to go tor a school that fits him, he loves it there. They have everything he needs to get a good degree and get his shot at the pro's . He should forget all that and go to a school that is in his home state whether he likes it or not or be looked at as a traitor wow these people need to get a life.

Plenty of 5 stars or equivalent (before star renkings) have left Michigan where there are two major universities to pick from and end up going to OSU,USC Notre Dame. Alabama,  Mark Ingtem comes to mind a Heisman Trophy winner. Another kid a QB from Utica led OSU to a National Championship, can't seem to remember his name.

Where do we draw the line? You can't move from one city to another in High School, Jr. High? Elementary.? You can't leave the state even if you don't play sports. Are there no out of state players on Rutgers team? Or any successful College in America. You can't leave your State for work? I bet the bottom line has jealous written on it.

It's almost as if Harbaugh didn't hire him just to get Rashan Gary.....

Seriously, though, Harbaugh does a great job of identifying and bringing in talent. Mama Gwen regularly gets rave reviews from recruits' parents.

He didn't. Partridge was offered and was planning on accepting the Rutgers offer. However, Harbaugh coached Partridge's good friend (can't remember his name, but he played at Lafayette and on the 49ers and now is the PC coach, I think). That friend basically hooked up Harbaugh and Partridge.

It was funny, in retrospect, that someone on a Rutgers board said that they would punch their sofa each time Partridge appeared on camera during our game with there. I do hope there is a seriously distorted and damaged sofa in New Jersey now.

I do agree, of course - he's an incredibly valuable addition to this staff, and hopefully he hangs around for a while.

them they still have 10 days left to sell it to a Spartan fan on Craig's List and ship it to East Lansing prior to the Michigan game.

It will be in huge demand about 3:45 PM unless it has been treated for fire retardation.

When we signed him I thought it was all about getting in with new jersey kids... similar to perry watson and jalen rose... but I was wrong.

Dude can coach and harbaugh is a genius because PArtridge will be leaving us in the next couple years for a head coaching job somewhere.
