Sticks and stones usually referred to someone personally giving you crap, which gave you the opportunity to give said antagonist a knuckle sandwich. The internet version of sticks and stones allows insults to be thrown from a long distance with no chance of a knuckle sandwich retribution. As a kid I had a short fuse - so lots of knuckle sandwiches were delivered and received. Gave me pause to what I said. I agree with most of what you say but some internet snipers never see the consequences of their words and enables them to be more bold. That said I've seen little if anything on Mgoblog or anything from you that I found insulting. There was just that one Sparty guy with the homophobic dick sucking fetish that was posting on one of the Brown threads that deserved a good ass kicking.

Yes was referring to it as an idea - that words don't hurt. But usually that was in a schoolyard context - being bullied, etc. If as a kid you were never bullied and never got into a fight over "words" that is a good thing. Alls I'm sayin is it's easier to be a bully in cyberspace than with someone standing in front of you. And as a kid in the 60's in Ann Arbor many a punch was thrown and received - it was more of a "let them work it out" era.

I was at the game so I wasn't able to catch any sort of Harbaugh sideline meltdowns that appeared on TV. I *need* to see those meltdowns Brian, I need to.

And to the MGoPopulous, I need you guys to smarten up a little bit. Only one person has ever caught and commented on the pop culture reference that's seamlessly mixed with Michigan references pervading all three of my username, avatar, and signature. My name is not Sam.

While we're still here: one more grievance: I just boarded a flight to go back to see my parents for the holidays. I put my carry on in the overhead compartment, pulled out my book, sat down, put my seatbelt on, and settled in to my preferred window seat. And then, of fucking course, the tap on the shoulder from a 19 year old or so couple walking down the aisle. "Excuse me, would you mind just switching seats with my boyfriend? We're traveling together. He's just a couple rows up from you in the aisle." I do it because I'm not going to cause a scene and if I don't do it I'm suddenly sitting next to some teenage girl who's pissed that I didn't switch seats with boy du jour and will probably hog the armrest out of spite, but how hard would it have been to just sit in your assigned damn seat? Does it look like I want to move?

I don't have anything specific, I'm just getting really annoyed by people using Internet expressions as if they're the first to ever use them. In a broader sense, for example, I am really sick of seeing the phrase "you win the internet." That one is not used so much here, but you get the idea. There are many others, of course.

but I have a bone to pick with all of you. Dantonio has built a good program and it will not go away quietly. We've been saying it since 2008 but no, Sparty is not just going to roll over and die suddenly next year because [Important Player X] has graduated. They are going to be annoying for as long as that Furrow Browed Doucheking is there. The Great Harbaugh can right this wrong but MSU isn't going back to classic Sparty No any time soon.

You can't tailgate, the opponents suck, the game is on a BTN overflow channel, and the only people that like them are people that want to "get the game out of the way" so they can do other things.  They are bad fans and they should feel bad.
