Steve Lorenz reporting CJ Stokes has committed on his visit today.

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Got a little of both all in one day!
What was the taketh away part?
I don't know what that part is too.
Nate Johnson going elsewhere in the same day
Who is this lord?
The Lord of Light, of course; for Columbus is dark, and full of terrors.
That's definitely the only Lord I believe in ha.
At least he showed himself on HBO (kind of)
Lord of Light is one of my favorite Zelazny novels.
If you don't know, you better ask somebody!
Matthew 7:23
Is that the verse about Michigan landing a three star recruit?
Oh you didn't know?? You better... CALL SOMEBODYYYYYY
Not sure why the second link didn’t work but here’s his 247 recruiting profile
He looks like a 35 year old man. Can't believe he's in high school
He looks like a good get! Big, good balance, hard to bring down. I like him. I hope he is 35 years old, lol.
Big? He's 5'11", 190.
Prototypical RB size.
Like his speed and running posture/style.
I think it's the thighs that make him look big, he's got big thighs for his size.
Hello CJ!
Welcome and Go Blue!
I love his film. I think after the season he will get a bump.
100% crystal ball to South Carolina. Oops.
The new staff never offered, so hold your tongue. He wanted them.
Also Michigan has received two crystal balls for 3 star RB/WR Dillon Bell. Just this week got offers from Georgia, Texas A&M, and Auburn so should be getting a major bump
Alan Trieu mentioned Stokes was “just the first” so more buckling up may be needed this weekend
FYI on Bell -- EDIT -- I had things backwards originally- Actuality is....despite his listing as a WR, M wants him as a RB. Not sure if this thinking is what has led to the recent SEC offers.
Yeah 247 has him as a WR but also on 247 it has Hart as his primary recruiter so I am not sure which position they want him at. Maybe both
They wanted him at running back, but then he showed up at camp and did a good job running routes, so they said they would take him as a receiver.
I’m stoked for Stokes!
Holds Temple offer.
I'm good.
Be still my Hart.
He looks bigger than 5’11” 190 lbs.
Mine looks bigger than it is also.
That’s not what your mom told me.
So his mom was looking at his dick or something? Did not think that jab through.
Any comment involving his mom and a penis has to be classified as an effective jab.
Effective jab. Well played.
Getting a recent Wisconsin-y RB feel from this prospect. Not a bad thing at all. Lacks real speed but bounces off tackles well and quick to the 2nd level.
Why do you say that? I never see anyone getting close to the kid in the open field.
That's because he is playing against HS players. Most average HS RBs arent caught in the open field as a they are often the fastest guys on the team. He isnt a plodder but doesnt look like he has that extra gear either. Haskins level RB is probably his ceiling.
I am more excited about Michigan basketball recruiting than Michigan football recruiting at this point.
I like tacos more than burritos.
Hell yeah!!
I'm stoked!
This is Harts first rb recruit. And i like the film. Looks thick legged, has great balance, and cuts well. And seeing those curs of his, I wish we would go back to grass field because I prefer it due to less injury risk despite what they say about being same as field turf.
Nobody wanted Jamie Morris or Mike Hart either. So there is that. If the kid is a gamer, we will all forget about his size.
If that listed size is accurate, it's not bad for a kid his age. Could easily see him at 215 or 220. Kids his age often are still growing.
How many offers did Barry Sanders have? One P5, two total?
Not really a fair comparison. That was pre-internet and recruiting was very different back then. Story goes that OSU never sent him back his tape so other schools weren't able to see him.
Maybe that's true. But he was amazing even in high school. Thurman Thomas was constatnly afraid he ws going to lose his starting job to him.
Vincent Smith vibe here.
