An Epic RichRod Glare
I've been waiting for this ever since I saw this tweet last night from Tom Leyden of WXYZ:
TomLeyden The glare Rich Rodriguez directed at Drew Sharp today when Drew asked Brandon if Rich might be fired was one for the ages. #Michigan
Leyden has now delivered the goods, and they're good.
TomLeyden The glare from #Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez to Drew Sharp when Drew asked if Rich might be fired. http://twitpic.com/346dlg
That glare is Lloyd Carr-esque. I wonder if that's what he means by Hard Edge? Nice suit/tie combo as well.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:29 PM ^
It would have been even more satisfying if he had pulled a ninja star out of his jacket and stuck it in Mr. Sharp's forhead.
November 5th, 2010 at 11:05 PM ^
classic. new background.
November 5th, 2010 at 11:06 PM ^
That's the look of a Wolverine stalking its prey.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
Then RR said, "Oh no you didn't. I have a right mind to Barwis all over your fancy ass."
November 5th, 2010 at 4:19 PM ^
If Drew Sharp gets kneecapped by a large man from Arizona who hates donkeys and loves finger stahces, well...I think we will know who sent the big guy.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
That would be borderline awesome.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:21 PM ^
That look perfectly sums up my feelings toward Drew Sharp as well.
November 5th, 2010 at 6:44 PM ^
Does anyone know if Drew Sharp didn't melt after that?
November 5th, 2010 at 8:40 PM ^
+1 just for making that pic your avatar.
Also epic thread is epic.
November 5th, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
I don't know if he melted, but there was a funky smell.. I think he shat himself.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
considering the blatant journalistic malpractice being committed by the freep, they should be banned from all campus activities. not just sports related.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
Is there a reason they still have credentials?
November 5th, 2010 at 4:26 PM ^
if you cant report objectively, then why should they be there in the first place? I'm sure there's some reasoning as to why DB can't/won't pull their credentials, but that would be another nail in the freep's coffin if he did.
November 5th, 2010 at 6:26 PM ^
Because it would accomplish nothing other than to look like sour grapes on Michigan's part. Stooping to their level, if you will. I don't like any of it one bit either. We fans all want to issue a big "fuck you!" to the Freep. But a move like pulling the Freep's creds is not DB's style, and would do nothing but give them more fodder for hating on us.
November 9th, 2010 at 1:22 PM ^
but I disagree with you 1.6 billion percent.
Covering Michigan football (i.e. Michigan putting it's players and it's coaches out there for you to grill) is a privilege that can, and should be, revoked, not a right.
These a-holes stirred stuff up, mis-represented stories, distorted facts and outright lied, in an attempt to what? Sell papers? Keep their jobs while getting someone else fired on fabricated or trumped charges?
/privilege revoked
November 9th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
They don't deserve to keep their credentials, but revoking them just gives them the attention they crave (and likely would lead to even more program-bashing). Better to just take the high road and have them look classless in comparison.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
I hope he ignores sharp's questions at press conferences from here on out. How funny would it be if RR acted like he didn't even hear the question and moved on to another reporter?
Yes, I'm still bitter when it comes to the Freep. Fuck them.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:26 PM ^
agreed..
November 5th, 2010 at 5:29 PM ^
Fuck them? I most certainly would not. I have never seen a picture of Drew Sharp, but I imagine it would look something like this:
I wouldn't touch him with a 39-1/2 foot pole.
November 9th, 2010 at 5:07 PM ^
Woah, woah, woah. It's not even Thanksgiving yet...
November 5th, 2010 at 4:23 PM ^
Please add a "100% pure Columbian awesome" tag to this post.
That is all.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
Has to be calculating right? I mean, The things he says, when he says them, has to be for maximum effect to draw readers, attention...whatever the hell is it he's shooting for.
That or he is just a world class douchewad.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:28 PM ^
can't it be both? drew assclown sharp up to his old tricks.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:26 PM ^
This picture needs to become a discussion ender. This is the "The End" title card.
And we also need to place it side by side with the best glares of Coach Carr.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:26 AM ^
No words really needed
November 5th, 2010 at 4:44 PM ^
Okay, someone needs to photoshop YA RLY at the bottom of this picture.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:57 PM ^
I can see the laserbeams coming out of his eyes. All that's missing is the follow-up photo of Drew Sharp's headless body with the remains of his exploded head splashed all over his colleagues Rosenberg and Snyder.
November 5th, 2010 at 9:55 PM ^
Why someone can't turn it into a gif with lasers really shooting out of his eyes... Where's LSUFreak when you need him?!?
November 5th, 2010 at 7:45 PM ^
Perhaps its just me..but in this picture I see a slight resemblance to Tony Soprano. Maybe he needs to invite Drew Sharp onto his yacht.....
November 5th, 2010 at 8:02 PM ^
Someone should photoshop an adidas track suit and a cigar and bingo.
November 5th, 2010 at 11:11 PM ^
He looks like Tony Soprano
November 5th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
Rich Rodriguez is an innovator of the glare option attack. When the comment was made, he has the option to either shrug it off as if it didn't even phase him or give the comment maker the glare of death. I'd say he made a great read. Many others have adapted his glare option attack to fit their personnel and situation, most notably with the infamous shoe dodge "smirk" option attack.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:52 PM ^
... say what you want about Dubya, he showed some cat-like moves there.
I'd like to see what would happen to an American reporter throwing a side of bacon at Ahmadinejad during a press conference in Teheran.
November 9th, 2010 at 12:27 PM ^
Yeah, but when Dubya ducked, poor Tacopants got nailed in the stomach.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:54 PM ^
G dub seems to have some serious reaction time. Can he play DB?
November 6th, 2010 at 12:37 AM ^
He would be cleared by the NCAA, but our admissions office would deny him.
November 9th, 2010 at 10:19 PM ^
Does Michigan often deny entrance of Yale and Harvard grads?
November 5th, 2010 at 4:57 PM ^
I love W's smirk after the first shoe throw. Like he's reminiscing about those late-night West Texas brouhahas round the camp far of his youth.
November 5th, 2010 at 5:16 PM ^
Any politics aside, that reporter is seriously lucky that a Secret Service member didn't immediately shoot him.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
I'd like to see the look on Sharp's face when RichRod asks him what he'll do when the Freep goes under.
November 5th, 2010 at 4:57 PM ^
November 5th, 2010 at 5:29 PM ^
I think so.
November 5th, 2010 at 6:07 PM ^
someone make it into a "deal with it" glasses gif...
November 5th, 2010 at 7:49 PM ^
to post.
"Perfect" pretty easily sums that up.
