Mgoblog 2010 Season Predictions "survey" UPDATED
http://www.esurveyspro.com/Survey.aspx?id=fdce021a-b3bd-445c-807b-fbf4e5556b27
I created a "survey". This will automatically tally the results. We're doing this on another forum with prizes, but I was interested in seeing what type of result mgoblog is expecting this season. I figured I'd get quite a few more responses on here. Please only fill out the form once.

How is it that I am picking a 9-3 record???
I got the same damned thing. All summer I've been working hard trying to convince myself I'd be content with a 7-5. Now what the hell am I going to do with myself?
Win first 10. Lose last 2. Now gimme da gold. I want da gold.
I have 10-2, but only losses to Iowa and Wisconsin and winning down in the giant toilet seat.
10-2 as well... unfortunately I have us losing the last two.
the only 10-2 with a loss at Indiana in the mix. I think people get a little boring in predicting the top three teams to win 2 against us when in reality a lot of good teams end up falling against mediocre teams.
Picking us to beat Indiana is not boring, it's foresight.
I have the exact same. I think it's an illness.
Fuck it. It's 30 days away and I'm excited
I have taken the survey, but will the results be made available and if so when?
Edit: I too was very optimistic...maybe I should have taken this survey before I watched Trev predict 11-1!
9-3 for me. I'm more optimistic than I thought.
Let's get this season started already!!
9-3 for me as well. Seems that we're all basically on the same page.
and 12-0 as well. Boundless Optimism carries the day
I picked 8 wins, but I had wins over ND, MSU, and Purdue. I think we have over a 50% chance in every one of those games, but I think we'll lose one of them. So really I'm saying 7-5. Going 7-5, beating the teams we are supposed to beat (Indiana, Illinois, etc.), and being in every game is good enough for me this year. Next year we should be looking at a Jan 1 bowl game.
8-4. Here's to being a pessimist!
welcome to the club. To be honest I don't have a very bright outlook for the future of this club.
But I thought 8-4 WAS optimistic. I have us winning one we probably shouldn't (thinking we're due to win one of the 3 winnable but probably shouldn't games). I'd think, especially with Brian struggling to see us getting to 7-5...this would be the sunny side.
Too early, I thought. But the web poll thing is nifty. Though should get a results link posted up on this thread.
I went 8-4. I'm curious how my predictions would play out. Because it's a very Sparty like season. We'd start off really hot, stumble a little, then lose our last two. I'm guessing how we do in a Bowl Game would determine how much off season good will we'd have. But it'd definitely mean we'd have another season to deal with it.
I only went with 8-4, losses to Iowa, Penn State, Wisconsin and Ohio State.
Well, there is a limit of 25 surveys. I'm gonna need to find another place to use.
Link fail. More like survey fail. I'll update when I find something better.
11-1, three point loss to OSU to finish the regular season.
8-4. Losses to Iowa, PSU, Wisky and OSU
The survey is already closed?
Alright guys, sorry about that. We're all up and running. This one is unlimited.
do we fill it out again? or did the previous results roll over?
Yes, please answer again. The previous poll was limited to 25 participants. Sorry for the inconvenience, but isn't it fun filling out all those W's for UM?
With the one extra win coming in the form of Schadenfreude: Michigan State goes 6-6 again and everyone calms down about Dantonio's deitous nature.
13-0, i am drunk on kool aide.
11-1
I got 5-7 again, and I don't feel like I'm being a pessimist. Am I the only one who thinks we'll have trouble with ND, MSU, Purdue, and Illinois?
We better not...
as in losing to all of those teams? yes
While I had each of those down as wins, that doesn't mean it will be cake.
ND has a lot of talent, but they are in the middle of a system change. As we've seen, that can be tough at times.
MSU beat us in OT last year after Michigan showed up for about 8 minutes of the 4th quarter.
Purdue has me blinded by hatred and I simply cannot accept the possibility of a loss to Danny Hope.
Illinois goes to more of a pocket type QB, which eliminates one of the biggest problems M has had on D the last couple years (decades?)
It took Purdue a surprise onside kick recovery and a botched PAT to beat us last year; a hook-and-ladder play the year before that.
Why do you think they'll give us trouble?
They've scored 49 and 38 points on us the last two years, if memory serves. That's why.
For the record, I have Illinois as a win.
I'm a bit worried about that statistic, but they have a new quarterback to the system, only two returning offensive linemen, their star HB tore his ACL, and they lost three of their top receivers to graduation.
I doubt we'll lose at home against Sparty, on the road against Danny Douchenozzle, and at home against the Juice-less, Benn-less, and Zook-ful Illini. I have us losing to ND, PSU, OSU, and Wisconsin for an 8-4 finish. Not sure if that makes me optimistic or pessimistic...
I thought the same except with us beating ND. I can't believe that ND can learn a new offense fast enough to have it down by week 2.
We're gonna be feeling pretty good after back to back wins vs. MSU and Iowa
If we lose to MSU, Purdue, and OSU this year, I'll probably kill myself.
I had us going 10-1 somehow, only losing to Wisconsin. I don't actually think that. I just couldn't bring myself to push the "lose to OSU" button. I also had us winning all of the games we should, which we're bound to lose at least 1 of them. I'm also probably underestimating Iowa and PSU, but screw it..
If I see more wins than loses this year, I'll be happy.
you'll be dead in 4 months

Yeah, don't kill yourself, please.
You listed four teams you figure Michigan will have trouble with (ND, MSU, Purdue, and Illinois), and pick Michigan to go 5-7. So if we lost three of those four, plus OSU, Wisconsin, PSU, and Iowa, we'd only beat UMass, Bowling Green, Indiana, UConn, and one of those four you named?
While I agree we could have trouble with each of those teams, it is obviously pessimistic to think we'd lose 3 of the 4. Could it happen? Sure. But only a pessimist would pick it.
