OT: Favorite/Least Favorite Ad Campaigns
are pretty much any ad on TV as I just want to watch what ever I have on and not be interupted. But, if I have to pick any one in particular it would be any political ad.
So long Twitter, it really wasn’t much fun while it lasted.
Best: Bud Light Real Men of Genius
Worst: I dunno, anything Apple does
Strong 2nd place for best is Terry Tate: Office Linebacker
I can't embed a video, but this St. Ides ad from the early 90s featuring a young Ice Cube (before he made family movies) was both one of the funniest and one of the more offensive ads I recall seeing in my life...
"Get yo girl in the mood quicka, get yo jimmy thicka, with St. Ides Malt Liquor." I am not sure this particular ad campaign would fly in the #MeToo era... Hahahahahahaha...
dilly dilly
But considering the product it's selling, it seems right up the alley of the target audience.
Maybe the only ads worse than Larry Culpepper.
He was with his daughter(s) if I recall correctly, apparently his brother has season tickets. He rear ended us in his Tesla getting off at the Washtenaw exit going to the UCF game in 2016. Pretty hilarious to see him in a frantic state until he lwe realized there was no damage, luckily for him.
My brother tried to parlay the whole event into some sort of business relationship with him for charity donations. Pretty sure Mike never made one donation to the charity my brother works with. Strangely enough that charity helps the youth of Detroit.
He's a professional bullshit artist, and also about 5'4-5'5.
I'll admit that I would 100% bang his sister, solid MILF.
I wasn't born yet but this is a real ad from 1930. I'm thinking I would have been offended.
I do like ONE Flo commercial, the one with the monster under the bed, but not because of Flo, but because of the concerned monster, "He's never like this, I think something is going on at school..."
This one with Jim Gaffigan:
I dunno, I think they are a brilliant sendup of the whole concept of branding.
The best self-deprecating fast food ad....
The 2 idiots sitting in the car at the Sonic restaurant, especially the one on the left. If there was a Sonic located near me, I'd boycott it. As it is, I immediately switch channels at the beginning of each commercial.
I have a Sonic near where I work and I boycott it. But not because of the commercials. Because the food is awful.
+1 on the hate for those dickbrain Sonic ads.
The worst are radio commercials for Zyppah, which is just a angry New Yorker yelling at you to buy his dumb invention so you can stop snoring.
Kars 4 Kids is also terrible.
I laughed the first time I saw the Geico commercial with the sterotypical evil guy explaining his plan "Step 1: Choosing the right drill bit"
Instant Classic!
My favorite one is where the Ohio State guy voluntarily jumps out of the Michigan grad's car.
My least favorite one is where the Michigan and Ohio State couple are making out.
Every ad campaign is the worst ever.
But these are my favorite all-time ads. All Nike:
Killers - I got soul but I'm not a soldier 2008 Olympics:

"Awake" (w/ AC/DC's Rock & Roll Aint Noise Pollution):

Classic: Brazil in the airport - '98 World Cup:

"Take It to the Next Level" - directed by Guy Ritchie and featuring some of the best players of our generation and the Eagles of Death Metal:

Honorable mention: the Joga Bonito ads from the 2006 World Cup.
Hahah yes, besides Armstrong and Pistorius it's pretty great. Still inspires me - I just try to ignore those parts haha. Too bad it doesn't really hold up because of those two but still pretty great.
The so simple a caveman could do it geico commercials were the Flo before Flo took over. Just terrible.
On a similar note, I love the Geico "surprising" commercials, like playing Marco Polo with Marco Polo, or Ice T at a lemonade stand.
Simultaneously awful and awesome.
