Official: Friday Night Adult Beverage thread and 'Sam's Club or Costco' Poll
Mates,
I don't know about you, but this wasn't my favorite week. I'm such a slacker I didn't even get my manure spread (maybe tomorrow). I will be having an adult beverage this evening, almost certainly red pop of one fashion or another.
Also, in our area there is a Sam's Club and recently a Costco opened up. I've been a Sam's Club member for years and years, and they do good with what they are supposed to. I've been to Costco in other areas, albeit infrequently. Seems okay but I can't think of a reason to switch.
So for tonight, two questions:
1. What's in your cup?
2. Sam's Club or Costco, and why? Is there really any significant difference?
I hope you have a great weekend

- Ginger Beer!
- We are current members and shoppers at both stores. Costco aims for higher earning demographic than Sam's Club as can be seen in their product selection that they carry - e.g. Hunter Boots for the ladies, as well as more ethnic foods. For the same staple items - toilet paper, tooth paste, chips, etc, Sam's has a bigger selection and also is cheaper! The other thing about the Ann Arbor Sam's Club vs. Costco, is that since fewer people shop there now since the arrival of Costco, the lines at Sams' Club are non-existent vs. Costco.
thanks
M43. I was able to get a 4-pack of the Strawberry earlier this week, but it's just the original tonight.
Is there anyone who honestly prefers Sam's? The only reason I go there is because Sam's is about 10 minutes away from me, and the closest Costco is almost an hour away.
I have the admit the Scan-and-Go Sam's app makes it much more bearable to go there now.

real coca cola classic in a glass bottle made with actual sugar from mexico.
Costco. No question.
I have a 100 pound labrador. his food is normally $55 per 35 lb bag but at costco it is $33. So after 3 bags i've made up the $60 membership.
Lucky brand jeans for $29. Kirkland brand is high quality name brand stuff with the private kirkland label. they don't mess around with the stuff they put their name on. their meat department is phenomenal.
i even had a client use the mortgage lender they referred and had a good experience.
and the gas savings is huge here in LA. saving $0.20+ cents per gallon usually. sometimes much more.
Costco. Sam's Club is owned by Walmart and they are evil so....
Drinking Bearded Iris Tiki Time and Bearded Iris Attention Please! while outlining for my Poverty Law class. I really hate outlining, and regret taking this class b/c I couldn't find any decent outlines from 3L's.

& Costco, hands down.
because:
1. everyone knows it
2. prices, products, politics. They pay their workers better. Won some award for best place to work, iirc. Still keep prices decent.
And I don't even currently have either.
Hope you're enjoying your red pop!
Costco. Dog food, vitaimins, OTC meds, shampoo and 4.99 rotisserie chicken are all worth the membership. The more kids you have eating your food, the better deal it is...
The real question is, "who is still drinking this Saturday morning?"
won't go near anything run by the Walton family if I can help it
