To Pitt
Nobody loses to Pitt!
Sorry Penn for the slight.
Kansas up by 4 with 4 seconds left until halftime, after a 20-5 run.
Later, Sooners.
Game!
STONES!!
Softest slowest three I ever saw.
Too bad Oklahoma stole a bid from someone else.
Won't miss them.
That was the worst "shooting foul" call I've ever seen. Penn obviously trying to use its fouls to give before halftime. 4 seconds left, Kansas's Graham gets grabbed, turns around and flails toward the basket, and the officials somehow buy it and grant him 3 FTs.
If Penn loses this game by 2 points, that's where I'm pointing. Absolute referee malpractice. Even TV Ted would have gotten that call right.
The ref called what he wanted to happen, not what actually happened.
Malpractice there.
If anything that was more of a pass attempt after being fouled.
Imagine how much Kansas viewership revenue will be lost by the NCAA if Kansas goes out in the first round.
Lots of uncalled Kansas moving screens going on. Kind if silly, really.
I picked Wright State to upset them as one of my first round WTF games, and the Vols blew them out.
DAMMIT
Me too! In one of my brackets at least. They should lose Saturday though if Loyola beats Miami (YTM). Not buying the SEC this year.
I have Miami winning over Loyala and then beating Wright State, so if Miami beats TN and loses to Cincinnati, I can still recover.
Pulling for the upset over my brackets (like always!). Go UNCG!!
I pick my bracket, and then I ignore it and root for Michigan and all underdogs. It's as it should be. :)
(Also, if Michigan can beat UNC, I'd just as soon play OSU or Xavier than Gonzaga...)
I have the Zags getting knocked out by South Dakota anyway so lets go UNCG
I have US beating Gonzaga in the E8 game. I love to see underdogs win, but this will smash me pretty hard in my bracket.
TORN!!!
wow UNC-G with a real shot here
and you all rooting for any form of 'spartan' (UNCG) to win, well, that has to feel dirty.
Gonzaga is going to destroy the other half of my West bracket! Bastards!!
Michigan-Gonzaga matchup, I think the Wolverines take care of business. Gonzaga is not that good.
Ok, so amongst all the talk of our long layoff, a commonly promulgated argument was that other teams deal with long layoffs too. And Gonzaga was specifically mentioned.
But they often struggle early in tournaments. They might not be that good, but their shooting is rusty. It's not inspiring me with confidence.
I hear ya, but Gonzaga is kind of a slow-burn anyway. And if Michigan starts slow, well, they were a second half team this year at any rate.
Gonzaga has been like this all season. In other years it very possibly could've been the layoff but this year playing down to their competition (specifically in WCC play) has been a common theme.
I read the score backwards and thought UNCG was winning the game... Relief for my bracket! I have UM beating the Zags to get into the Final Four.
