OT: Shaq's Son Decommits from Arizona
Shareef O'Neal, a 4*, top-50 type commit, has decommited from UA. Not surprising given their current, um, troubles. How awesome would it be to get Shaq's son on the team? And we know Beilein loves former NBA player's kids.

so Beilein's not going to put out any more offers. He can and should stay in touch with recruits in case an extra spot does open up. I'd guess there's a fair chance of that happening. I'm sure he has a better idea of who might not return..

Their family didn't mind paying players when his dad took gifts from Nolte to attend Western University

"Free Agency. Shaq made his money moving to LA. Do you know how much he makes now?"
"Almost as much as he made in college?"

He clarified that. Wasn't Shaq, it was Neon Boudeaux who took the $$$!

Well, that's certainly interesting - I would be highly interested in Schlabach's reply to all of that.
Someone in the comments did make the point that even if Ayton ultimately rejects the money, if the wiretap claims are indeed accurate, Miller is still in deep shit.

They were named in the initial FBI report and one of their assistants was one of the four coaches charged with crimes. Jahvon Quinnerly decommitted after being linked to a $15K payment from him.
Stories coming from leaks may be based on misinformation. The federal charges aren't foolproof, but at least they're filed by people with first hand access to the evidence.

but not to playing college basketball. If there was a $100K payment, it could have been to keep him from going overseas. That also fits with an agent having leverage with a recruit.

If he's anything like his father, then hell no.

I see Watson transferring at the end of the year.

if he can't see the court now he'll never even sniff it next year. Too bad, he has some talent but maybe not enough for this level.
I think there's a good chance Mo returns.

We have no room. If everyone stays, we actually need someone to leave.

Mind. Blown.
That is some serious Zen-type stuff there, man. Or Yogi Berra. Yogi Zen? ;)

Yeah, about the only big-name recruits who I could safely assume aren't on the take are guys with famous parents. Like, Shaq's kid isn't going to get in trouble over $50l; that's how much Shaq spends on Icy Hot a month. I'm sure he can scrounge up some walk-on money for his kid.

Expected to commit to UCLA.
