OT: Snowmageddon 2018 PSA

Submitted by Hotel Putingrad on
Apparently Detroit and Chicago and everywhere in between are slated to get double digit snow accumulation tomorrow. As someone who missed the 70-vehicle I-35 pileup in Ames, IA Monday by barely twenty minutes, I just wanted to pray for you mgobloggers in harm's way. #juststayhome

Looking for 6-9 inches in southern Wayne County, but around here, schools are already closing and a lot of people at work, especially people with long commutes, were already making plans to probably not be around tomorrow, which is totally understandable. I live only eight miles from work and I am still going to play it by ear since much of that drive is on roads that are not priority.

Another few inches on Sunday, it sounds like as well.

Michigan will win 9 games next year and lose to all the rivals once again.  I think Harbaugh will get one more year that will be the make or break.  In the end I think he will resign in some kind of "mutual agreement" and go back to the NFL and Michigan will move on and suffer another rebuild.  I don't see a bright future or much success in the near future.  I think we will fall from "Blue Blood" status if we havent already due to our string of poor luck and hires.  We'll be good once or twice a decade, but the culture of the school and location relative to where the best recruits are will hold michigan back for the forseable future.  The program has lost a lot of momentum the past 10+ years.

Over here in  White River Junction,VT (home of Don Brown) we got 10 inches of snow, which was cause to skip work and ski today.  For us, snow is always a good thing!

Already announcing that it is closed for tomorrow.  We live in Birmingham.  School is in West Bloomfield.

Tomorrow is my daughter's 14th birthday...so she's hoping Birmingham schools will make the same announcement!

Huge job interview in Milwaukee tomorrow. I leave Toronto at 6AM, connect in Detroit, our at 8:30AM...Minneapolis is my Home base and MSP usually can take about 6-8 inches before flights really get messed up.

How is DTW with snow? I’m supposed to fly home from Milwaukee in the evening, don’t care if I have to stay over night, really just want to make it to the interview.

is very, very, very experienced with runway clearing and airplane de-icing.  There will be delays and cancels, no doubt.  Some variation will occur by airline, for a variety of factors.  Wayne County Operations running the airport, have always been excellent over the years.

I don't wish that on anyone. Stay off the roads if you can, and drive carefully if you can't.

(Also, I have never been so happy to see the New York state line in my life; the snow stopped almost within sight of it.)
