OT: Snowmageddon 2018 PSA

Parking lot was packed tighter than the day before Thanksgiving, no carts available inside, and checkout lines reaching the meat department in the back of the store. Couldn’t figure out what the fuck was going on—incoming missile from Hawaii?—then realized it’s all the pathetic panicked lemmings pissing their pants over 6” of snow, which they’ve apparently never seen before and are convinced they’ll be marooned in their homes for six weeks and unless they get that extra loaf of Wonder Bread they’ll have to start eating the pets and draining Grandma’s blood for protein smoothies and burning the furniture for heat. And when it’s all plowed in two days they’ll forget it all happened until the next feverish Channel 4 Snowpocalypse hysteria hits the boob tube and they’ll all rush to Kroger’s to buy 87 loaves of bread, 55 gallons of milk, and 20 square miles of shitpaper. Idiocracy was set 500 years in the future which means it was ridiculously optimistic.

Yeah, wife and I are driving to GR from Virginia tomorrow. Taking the long way around to come up 23 to avoid as much snow as possible. But we'll still hit it between cbus and Toledo somewhere. Will add a few hours to our trip I'm sure.
